My husband and I were driving around looking for a mom and pop place to eat and buddy we found it! This place is so small but so busy that we had to stand outside the door before we could order! It was NOT a very long wait and definitely worth it. The staff was funny and down to earth and so were the patrons. Great food at a decent price.

Took eleven coworkers here for lunch. We have never been here before but wanted to visit. Weather was great, so we enjoyed the picnic tables. The Hinkle’s team handled the large group without issue and everyone had a good time. While this isn’t the place for calorie counting by any means, it is the place for a good burger and fries or one of the many other menu options!! Without a doubt, it is a unique place that deserves a visit!

Classic, historic burger dinner in downtown Madison on the main drag through town. We visit Madison about twice a year and always stop here to eat. I got the meat loaf lunch special on this trip. Yummy. Be advised that this place is popular during lunchtime, and you may have to wait to be seated. This place has tight seating, but we dont mind it as it fits the old timey diner artmosphere. So please don’t bring your screaming kids here or request vegan options.

Legendary old school hamburgers and other fried goodness, done up the same way they always have. Nothing is fancy and they like it that way. Staff are friendly and fast. The burgers are amazing. The crinkle cut french fries are good, but try the Baby Cakes. The chili is just like my grandma used to make, but unfortunately that means it’s only so-so.

$25 for 2 people is pretty high for what you get. The meat itself was good and well seasoned. More of a thin style patty. The combo being $4.99 is a huge turn off to me. It is advertised as any side, however fries are so common I felt I paid more than it should be. $2.99 I could probably justify. First were ok, nothing fancy. Service was good but was not a fan of the ladies ball gag face mask. Not really appropriate for a customer environment.
