I was quite disappointed about the food. The uni was not at all fresh. I had eaten multiple pieces which tastes bitter and left bad after taste. Our waitress speaks too softly. It was almost impossible to hear her. Some dishes requires spoons, but we only got chopsticks.

Absolutely amazing food! We had the omakase menu for dinner. The ambiance was very relaxed and the service was great. The ingredients used in the food are mostly from different parts of Japan and taste special. Would recommend this experience to everyone.

An amazing omakase experience in an elegant and calming environment, with exceptional service throughout. We were surprised by the range of dishes that utilized uni, and everything was fresh and bursting with flavor.

Their staff are very nice and professional, but the food is…meh…the sea urchin is def not fresh, very bitter. One type of fish tastes way too sour.

I know every significant Japanese restaurant in New York, and this restaurant offers the best Japanese style food in New York. Clearly #1. It is a tough reservation and show up on time.

Wonderful place to have some sushi with a great intimate ambiance and service. We weren’t feeling like having a full omakase experience so we went a la carte, where you can still pick and choose some omakase items if you wanted! I found this flexibility wonderful as most tasting menus have just too much food for me. The sashimi assortment was definitely a star as we got 12 kinds of seafood and each felt good enough to write home about. We were pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes too, as we were expecting a pretty small portion of sashimi. We also loved pairing our rice dish of the day with some tsukemono to really round out the experience. For dessert, the mochi daifuku was my favorite since it hits all the classic ingredients of red bean and strawberry in a fun bite with some green tea sauce on the side.

I visited for a special occasion, and had to make a reservation a few weeks earlier. The food was of course great (their uni is great) with lots of high quality ingredients ( lots of truffle). It was definitely worth the price, and had great experience. Will visit again!

Went here for anniversary dinner in 2021 and did the omakase menu, we loved it! The space is small and minimalist, the service is excellent. We went back again in february 2022 and did omakase menu again but this time we also did the sake pairing with it. I cant recommend highly enough the sake pairing it was truly wonderful. Each dish came with a sake pairing and each time they brought out different decorative sake cups! It was about 9 different sake pours that we had with the meal! We were really impressed with the food even more so than in 2021. The 2022 winter omakase uses a lot of black truffle and theres a decent amount of lobster in the dishes too. If you have a special occasion this is a great place to celebrate that with the omakase… It is quite a small space and very formal though so its not good for parties of 2-3 or 4 at the most I would say because its such a quiet space.
