Hmong food. What is Hmong food? To answer that question, you must first understand who we are and where we come from. Hmong people are a hill tribe people from Southeast Asia—Laos, Vietnam, and Thailand. We are a people of love and nurture, of passion and life. We are historically a poor people who eat a way of subsistence. We waste none. And though we may not have much, we give all. In our culture, it is considered especially rude for a host to not offer their guests food, for food is the most exemplary display of our hospitality.
Before all else, we cook for our guests. And what meals do we cook for them you might ask? Why, our mother’s meals of course!

Awesome Asian food. The curry was as good as Thailand’s and the fried rice was a perfect balance of sweet and umami.

Pho is the best i have had in Wisconsin. I have been to about 8 different restaurans in WI. Just add 4 to 5 spoons of the roasted garlic and 1 to 2 spoons of chilli oil. Amazing!!!

This wonderfully bright and airy space offers an excellent selection of Hmong Thai dishes in addition to the traditional ones. I savored my spring rolls while my wife had the Pad Nad Lad with chicken. The service was fast and our server was very pleasant.

Very clean and nice place to eat. We went here for a late lunch with my dad. We shared the spring rolls and egg rolls with peanut sauce for an appetiter. For the meal, we had chicken and sausage with the papaya salad. All was really good the salad could use just a little more flavor to it. We got coffee flavors teas to go…yummy.

Food here is generally pretty good but the service during a recent visit was pretty poor. Once we got our food the waitress pretty much vanished for the rest of our meal. Asked once how everything was and then nothing until sometime later when she walked by and put the check down on the table. Never got water or drinks refilled and we wanted to order additional egg rolls but no chance of that. I finally went to the counter to pay and ask for a box for leftovers. Unlikely to go back.

The food was good! Our waitress was wonderful until she chased us out the restaurant to accuse us of not paying. We left cash on the table to cover the meal plus a nice tip. The bubble tea is also not the typical bubble tea with milk and various flavors; the restaurant offers a limited selection of fruit smoothies with tapioca pearls at the bottom.

Came by to have dinner and from the service to food to timeliness were very speedy. The house special pho was delicious and light and came with the option of condiments on the side and vegetables. The eggrolls with the pink sauce was tasty too. I love eating Thai style papaya and by far this dish was very good. I did a 3 spice for the papaya and thought it was still spicy but very yummy. I would highly recommend people coming here for the asian cuisine. Give it a try you will enjoy it. Money I spent there was around $20-30/ person.

3/18/2022. My wife and I came to visit La Crosse to see Grandad Bluff and other stuff. Decided to eat at Golden Egg Rolls. Nice little place. When we got here, it was busy, they only had 2 servers/waiters but they both did great considering how busy they were. We order 2 Egg Rolls, Pho, and Pad Lad Nad. The egg rolls was okay, not bad, but nothing special about it. It was fresh and crunchy. From the photo, the sauce looks red, but in person, it actually has a pink hue to it, which reminds me of pepto bismal pink. The sauce isn’t your typical egg roll sauce. It looks like a sweet and sour sauce, but to me it tasted bland with a after spice taste. You’ll have to try it for yourself. The pho was nothing special, just a regular very light pho broth taste, nothing flavorful, it wasn’t bad or good. The only thing was they do not have enough pho condiments at the tables for all the tables. After I was done using mines, they came and ask to take the ones on my table to give to the other tables. There isn’t much table condiments to add to the pho(fried garlic, beef flavor paste, chili oil, hoisin sauce, siracha sauce). I’ve never been to a pho place that has beef flavor paste. My wife had the Pad Lad Nad. From the menu, it says dark brown peanut sauce, but the sauce looks lighter in color and there seems to be no peanut in it. Overall nice little place, service was great, food was okay, it fills your belly. I say the best food was the small seasame balls they were selling at the counter.

Lovely place with good food, friendly people, friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, and good music. Their pho and egg rolls are the bomb. Definitely a must try if you’ve never been here. I recommend the wings as well. The green curry was good and very favorable. ❤️

Very good food! The sweet wings are definitely spicy but a good spicy! The fried rice is amazing and the pad lad nad is so good! The mild stir fry is still quite spicy but nothing we couldn’t handle. We will be back!
