This is the best Chinese food I have ever had! Everything was delicious! It didn’t have that starchy taste like you get from most Chinese restaurants, this food was fresh. My family am I are here just for the weekend and came in late, we came the last hour they were open and the servers were nothing but nice to us, giving us recommendations and were checking on us the whole time. They were so nice, I am very happy we found this place! I highly recommend! You won’t be disappointed!

Tourists in the area looking for a Chinese and we found this absolute gem. Warm welcome and given advice on what to eat. Food came in good time (maybe a little bit too quickly) and service throughout the meal was superb. We ordered 4 different dishes and each one was awesome. Salt and pepper tofu and fish very good and lots of flavor. We also got the cashew chicken and yes I know it’s made differently everywhere but it just wasn’t very good and not much flavor. And I ate it before eating the salt and pepper items we got because I know it won’t have as much flavor as those. We would get the salt and pepper items again.

While staying in Monterey for the weekend, we were craving some Chinese food, and we discovered Ho Wah Chinese. This restaurant was amazing! As soon as we entered we were welcomed in with smiles and didn’t feel like we were just typical tourists. The service was amazing with great tasting food! Highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Portion sizes are perfect. Thank you Ho Wah for the awesome service! Definitely will be returning!
