Used to be one of my favorite places go… Been out of the area for a while, I was very excited to get a breakfast sandwich here… Things have obviously changed. My sandwich was full of disgusting char. It literally was not even edible. Nowhere near the quality they used to be, plus the prices went up significantly. I have seen throw up more appetizing than this. Waste of my time and money. Very disappointed.

Only been to this place once and honestly wasn’t a big fan. The atmosphere was wonderful, they even had a mini section where they sold clothes and hand crafted jewelry and the service was nice and stellar. The food on the other hand wasn’t as nice, with the oatmeal being soaked in water and the breakfast sandwich being on the more runny side. The coffee was pretty decent.

You go here for a coffee and a small bite. Don’t expect anything outrageous foodwise, but it’s all ok. Meet up with a friend and chat inside or out. It can get busy with loud music inside. Mostly students and local villagers attend.

This was my first time at Hobbs. As others have mentioned, the coffee was excellent. I got an Americano and it was very smooth but might not be strong enough for hardened caffeine addicts (I do admit that could be the fault of my heavy pour of whole milk though so take my opinion about the strength with a grain of salt). Atmosphere was great and I love the location next to the train station. I also ordered an egg and cheese sandwich which was very tasty but I have to knock one star off since the bread was a bit tough. Gotta give it up to the guy manning the grill too. I think he was the only one making food orders and he was serving them up fast despite it being pretty busy. Rock on my guy!

Absolute gem of a coffee shop; the food is pricey but always delicious, and their coffee drinks are excellent. I got a chai latte with oat milk and my girlfriend got an iced caramel latte, both of which came to us quickly and were delectable. The staff is very patient and the ambience is very welcoming.

If you’re going for a kitchy vibe and insist upon hiring unpleasant staff with a “can’t be bothered” attitude, then your product better be incredible. At Hobbs, it’s not.

Two of the people behind the counter were audibly laughing about how they burnt my breakfast sandwich yet they proceed to serve it anyway. As other reviews indicate, that appears to be the new quality standard here; Knowingly Charred.

Great staff! Excellent vibe. Been going here for months now to work. Emily and Matt are great. Ask for their specials.

The shop is currently closed, but they were kind to set up a stand outside where you can buy their coffee (cash or Venmo). The cold brew is not the best I’ve had — but drinkable, somewhat strong/bitter. Ice would have been appreciated. Would recommend trying it especially if they have full service set up.

I like their bagel sandwiches a lot, they are a good option for a quick lunch. The shop can get quite crowded during the school year.
