We decided to stop at this establishment after we had just visited the USS Lexington. The location is very close to downtown sightseeing areas. We had a group of 4 order items such as Po Boy, 2 meat meal, and smokehouse burger. All of our meals were excellent including the sides of Cole slaw, baked beans, and Texas tator salad. Meats were tender and seasoning was delicious! We would definitely return here again and would highly recommend to others. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner Mr. Page as I was exiting the restaurant. Thank you Mr. Page for taking a few moments out of your day to chat with me about my family’s dining experience.

Besides the great service and friendly staff…. the food I expected more from it $23 dollars for a 3 meat and drink.. brisket didn’t have flavor. The Jalepeno sausage was good, and the potato salad was perfect and by God, if you have asthma good luck eating in there smoke filled the room and you can barely breath… all in all, I give it a 2 out of 10 my apologies but brisket needs some type of seasoning…

Had 2 meat plate with sliced brisket (marble) and baby back ribs, with baked tater salad and green beans as sides. The ribs were smoky and the brisket was very tender, and both meat were very tasty and flavorful. Loved the sides too especially the baked tater salad. There was also peach cobbler included in the meal, which was a good treat. Welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. Also visited for a second time as we were leaving town and got another meal to go, since we loved this place so much.

So far best barbecue place in corpus that we have found in Corpus. Our first time there. Atmosphere wonderful, staff absolutely wonderful, good choice of music, only a little too loud for us Old-Timers LOL. We will revisit. A little hard finding it, but very well worth the effort, portions were very good amounts, WELL worth the money.

Disappointed. We were looking forward to try their BarBQ. My half chicken was dry and tasted roasted not grilled as in authentic BarBQ smoke flavor. My wife ordered Brisket sandwich but it had too much sauce couldn’t enjoy the meat. Their sides, corn, beans, potato salad tasted like right out of a can, no flavor whatsoever. We ordered tap water and noticed on the bill they charged for small drinks. NOT a true authentic Texas BarBQ restaurant.
