The food was really good. Pastry prices were a bit high, which is expected for such a tourist area and it being homemade. Service was great. Everyone is really friendly and asks how you’re doing. We were there on a Tuesday afternoon and it was pretty busy. There was a 15 minute wait. If you go on a weekend, be prepared in case there is a long wait time. The food was definitely worth the wait though.

Awesome restaurant & great service. We came in on a busy Saturday morning with a party of 11 and the attention we received was great! The wait was not lengthy and the young gentleman as a Host kept us very entertained during our wait as well. The service from our waitress, Barbara, was AMAZING. Her attention to detail was truly appreciated and she tried to accommodate as best as she could!! Great business, great service, great food, definitely recommend. 10/10!

Everything was excellent! My husband said it’s the best breakfast he has had in 20 years! We had the corn beef hash, onion and bacon hash and the salmon and lox bagel. A big plus for my husband is they do serve beer with breakfast so he was excited. The serving sizes are large and we ate it all. Everyone was so friendly and they give first responder and military discounts which is a plus.

The food was excellent and the service was good. The dining area is small so we had a bit of a wait but it definitely felt worth it. I would recommend the corned beef hash, french toast, or the biscuits and bratwurst gravy.

Get there early if you’re going for breakfast . The wait wasn’t bad and it’s such a cute little place. They have indoor/outdoor seating. The bakery with German desserts & breads..YUM! The staff were very helpful & friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Definitely a place you need to eat or grab some baked goods to take home, if they make it before you eat them

We stopped in around 11 am. Very nice bakery with ample amount of mouth watering delicious delicacies. Excited about the Bavarian cream puffs and apple strudel. We were looking forward to eating at the Cafe but it was closed for breakfast already and didn’t start lunch menu until noon. Wish we could have eaten there as well. Nonetheless we have some amazing desserts for later.

This place is a must do in Helen. The breakfast was outstanding! The Hofers Biscuits and German Gravy were so good. 2 buttermilk biscuits with creamy Nuremberg bratwurst gravy hits the spot. The misses had the apfelkuchle, sliced apples dipped in batter pan fried with cinnamon and sugar! A taste you have to try! The pastries in the front will have your taste buds doing the polka! When in Helen this truly must be a destination for the family. The people running it and helping are some very friendly folks.

Couldn’t give them the 5 stars… they were not serving breakfast outside, so it was only inside(place is not very big) and the line was pretty long in the morning, and later it gets more and more longer the line.
