Try the Prime Rib it was amazing. The drink I had was a Manhattan and it was perfect. Service was good. I went with a group of 10 that made reservations well in advance which is nice because some places don’t do reservations anymore. I will definitely be going back. A bit pricey but the portions are VERY generous. None of us tried any dessert because we were all too full, but the 3 offered desserts sounded good.

You get what you pay for. This was a great experience, we had Johnnie as a waiter he did an awesome job. I always gauge my tip on how often my drink glass gets to empty, it never did. The prime rib was fantastic, along with the garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli. Couldn’t be happier with the food and service. We also got the firecracker shrimp they were great as well.

Great food and fast service! My husband had the smoked prime rib, and I had the combination smoked meat platter; amazing! Also, the chocolate bread pudding is to die for

I have tried the ribs, pulled pork sandwich, and brisket sandwich at Hog in the Road. The ribs are probably the best ribs I’ve had in Minnesota. The pulled pork and brisket are also fantastic. The food isn’t cheap but it is a special treat.

Had some of the best prime rib I’ve ever eaten here. The shrimp and steak appetizers were delicious and the fried ice cream was amazing.

Best bbq I ever had! Drove an hour and a half to get here, and it’s worth every mile.

This is not your typical BBQ joint. A few things to keep in mind:

Food and service was a really solid 5. Prices are pretty strong. $52 for a prime rib, $47 for a New York Strip, etc. Main courses were top notch, the garlic mashed potatoes were kind of blah and so were the vegetables. That would be the main reasons I didn’t give an overall 5 stars and won’t become a regular, but I would come back.

Top-quality rib joint! After my young son tasted a perfectly roasted piece of meat he looked at me with awe in his eyes and stated unconditionally, “Dad! This place is even better than McDonalds!”
