Hog Wild BBQ restaurant in Portland, started as a catering business by Husband and Wife, Tammy & Kevin. We quickly expanded, my uncle (many of our regulars would know as Duane) and other family joined and we moved into a take-out window. February 13th, 2012, we opened up our first sit down restaurant. Kevin and Tammy’s daughters (one of them being myself), family and friends of the family are all apart of the Hog Wild Family and the growing success of the business. We are all proud to serve our award winning BBQ Sauce that gives the perfect finishing touch to our authentic mouth watering menu of Beef Brisket, Baby Back and St. Louis Spare Ribs, Pulled Pork and much more!

My wedding guests all loved Hog Wild! They came all the way out into the Mount Hood Wilderness to cater and both employees were genuinely nice people. They even served us the food, rather than set it up and let us serve ourselves. We ordered enough for leftovers and enjoyed it for lunch the next day.

The pulled pork has a dry taste to it. The flavoring is excellent. This restaurant is definitely not the top in Portland for barbecue but it is good. 4 star review.

Place is clean and service friendly. In general the food was OK. The brisket on the dry side. The Cole slaw had more vinegar than expected and the Mac ‘n’ Cheese was on the bland side. Could use some cheese. The cornbread was cake like. It was missing the corn. The pulled pork was really good and so was the sausage.

Unfortunately, we don’t have photos of the actual food, but it was DELICIOUS and so perfect for our rehearsal dinner! We hosted our family and friends in West Linn on the Tualatin River for our rehearsal dinner the night before our wedding and had Hog Wild cater! We opted to do a delivery drop and their team was wonderful! They were on time and had no problem staying a little longer to help us setup the food as we had ordered a ton for only 18ppl.

It’s one of the worst BBQ places i have eaten at. what should have been the first red flag. Was that their soda dispenser was disconnected. I guess that I can’t afford to pay Pepsi anymore for sodas I ordered the 2 meat platter. The ribs were brought out barely, luke warm. The baked beans were not fully cooked. When i asked to have them reppaced, they brought what tasted like canned Bushers baked beans. The mac n cheese was worse than boxed mac n cheese. Will not be coming here again.

Great place to eat inside but don’t get your order to go! I ordered a brisket sandwich, mild sauce on the side, pulled pork sandwich, both sandwiches with coleslaw on the side (only received one), sweet potato fries, fry sauce and fried green beans.
