Server didn’t checkup on me and my friend. Still gave her $10 tip. The slaw was watery and lacked something. Beans were waaay over salted. The ribs were good and cooked to a nice consistency. The BBQ laxked sweetness or tang so I didn’t quite get it. $60 for lunch isn’t too bad price wise and the atmosphere was nice.

Hokie’s BBQ and Grill…could be a local spot,but worth taking the exit if you’re hungry. Polite staff. Pulled chicken sandwich with fried okra and a smoked burger with fries. Smoked burger was lean and really good flavor. Chicken had a good smoked flavor…more chopped than pulled…but good taste. The bun was soft and buttery flavor. Yum. And then sweet potato upside-down pie with ice-cream. Didn’t even need the ice-cream. It was all good. We’ll probably make a return trip. Other items on the menu to try.

It’s a cute restaurant. Very quiet for a Friday night. We ordered jalapeño poppers for an appetizer, they fried them, and they were cold in the middle.

My first time eating here. The service is great. Wonderful atmosphere. Reasonable pricing. Especially concerning the quality of food. The ribs and the brisket are some of the best I’ve ever had. Well recommend it to everyone.
