Coming from NYC where sushi/poke spots are of abundance, I was skeptical when someone suggested this spot for lunch. I got the bowl with 2 protein, hubby got their 3 roll lunch special, and we got chicken hibachi to share. For drinks we got passion fruit tea – I love that they put pieces of actual passion fruit in the drink but wayyyy to much syrup. It was too sweet for me (keep in mind that I’m the type of person that gets tea without sugar – so you might enjoy the sweetness!)

Ordered food online, the taste was alright but the portion sizes in terms of what we paid was not worth it (paid about 44$ total), will probably not order again. Overall, the chicken tempura sushi was good, but the calamari tasted and smelled like rubber. Wouldn’t pay for the calamari no matter how little it cost.

Ordered (6) spicy tuna rolls and 2 miso soups. Order was done online and when picked up they had no idea about the order. Miso soup was barely full and the sushi wasn’t good. I wont be returning.

Came back after they had some renovations. How they turned this place around since they started is amazing. I had a great experience when it first opened. I had an even better experience today. The place is so nicely done. I really like that they have great food choices and sell boba with that wasn’t there before. The quality of the food is amazing and so are the workers. Had a Taro milk tea, the taro tasted very authentic. It’s not like cheap powder other places use. The atmosphere here is very nice. It’s a wonderful place. A secret restaurant for Buffalo.

The staff is friendly! The food arrived fairly quickly. They also have really cool cups for their bubble tea! The environment is small but intimate. There is always relaxing music in there! There is a wide variety of delicious Asian style protein bowls, bubble teas and even smoothies.

We’ve moved from Seattle where Japanese community big and there are a good choice of great sushi places. Hokkaido Sushi is our place to go now to get fresh delicious sushi in Wiliamsville area. There is an option with brown rice which we loved! The chef is very friendly and always greets with the smile. Also, I’ve been ordering their sushi through app Beyond Menu “to go” and my order was always ready pretty fast. Highly recommended!

Ordered takeout from here the other night. The deep fried pickle sushi was something I’ve never seen before and it was pretty tasty. Scallion pancakes were a little oily, but the flavor was there. Decent prices and decent food.

Delicious lunch! All my bowl ingredients were so fresh. Brown rice, spicy tuna, with a mix of sides I selected added to my bowl (pineapple, cucumber, kimchi, purple cabbage and a few others) Owners are very friendly! This place is a hidden treasure in Amherst! Visit!
