This Japanese restaurant is a little gem in Winter Springs serving delicious dishes with ingredients that you can taste that are fresh. They also do hibachi style cooking for this who prefer this. The place is very clean and the servers were friendly. Every sushi ordered was tasty and just wanting for more.i would suggest to come to this place an try it out.

I first came by to this place by accident. We were in the mood for sushi and we were driving right by it so I decided to give it a shot. Their happy hour was very reasonable and the food was delicious. I never stopped coming ever since. The food is ALWAYS on point, the staff is very personable, and I leave extremely satisfied. Would 100% recommend it. Their signature rolls are delicious!!

Decided to switch up our sushi routines and tried Hokkaido Sushi & Teppan. They have great happy hour appetizer and sushi specials including one of my favorites, takoyaki, which was cooked to perfection with a creamy inside, super tender octopus bites inside, and a generous portion of bonito flakes on top (only thing it was missing was the Mayo on top).

I’ve tried a hibachi dinner with chicken and Chilean seabass. The chef’s show was fun, food tasted expectedly good, the service was prompt, and hot sake – well, hot. Happy hour ends at 6:30pm and offers some very good deals on drinks and hibachi. It’s a bit of a drive for me, but well worth the actual hibachi table and a show (many Japanese restaurants offer hibachi dinner cooked in the kitchen).

Hokkaido is one of my kids’ favorite Japanese restaurant. We have been here several times and it’s been mostly a pleasant experience. Customer service has always been friendly. I like their fried rice because they used sushi rice instead of the regular jasmine rice. Calamari are tender. We like their Takoyaki the most. Minus one star because my husband and I both feel the fried rice and noodle are always a bit on the salty side. Steak was cooked beyond to the medium rare as requested.

We typically have a pleasant experience at Hokkaido but this time was different for many reasons. The prices were not resonable. The kids menu is already expensive and doesn’t include any kind of drink, when we ordered apple juice we were charged extra 4 dollars. The dish we ordered for one of our kids didn’t come out right; therefore, we asked for a replacement. It took them 45 mins to redo a kid meal. Bear in mind, we didn’t go during rush hour. We were literally the only people in the place. On top of that all, they added a policy of “obligatory gratuity” it’s not up to you anymore if you want to pay tips or how much you can afford to pay for a tip. This was not okay and was definitely not expected from a well known place. 2 stars for the good portion of food, but that’s about it.
