This was our first time to go, and it was great. The view of Sardis Lake is spectacular. The food was great. I loved the family atmosphere. If you’re looking for an up scale high society restaurant, keep looking. If you’re looking for great food, friendly folks, clean, excellent service from the entire team, Holiday Lodge Restaurant is the place for you. We will be back!

Very good food and service. I’ve eaten here before after fishing at Sardis lake and never been disappointed. This past visit I had the catfish fillets with fried okra, hush puppies, coleslaw, and macaroni and cheese and it was incredible. This food is worth driving a few miles to eat. They make their desserts in house and so was the macaroni and cheese. Simply delicious!!!!! Forgot to mention, great sweet tea!!

Good food, reasonably priced. Never had a bad meal here. There’s nothing fancy, just good folks serving good food. Everything from catfish to burgers to chicken livers! They are situated on the banks of Mississippi’s Sardis Lake. They will also cook the fish you catch for you and provide the sides for your dinner.

Been eating here since I was just a little kid. Always had great service and the food was/still is really great and reasonably priced. I enjoy the casual atmosphere and listening to some tall tales. Definitely recommend this little cafe to everyone.

The food was really good — catfish wasn’t overly breaded and their homemade thousand island dressing is the bomb! Service was also good, but the non-smoking section is clearly an afterthought.

Had the catfish filets and they were AMAZING. YUM YUM, side order of green beans tasted like my grandmother made them, and creamy delicious coleslaw. .. And hush puppies on the side! … Had to get a to-go box I was so full! Service with a smile. What more can you ask for. ..

I do not recommend this restaurant. The owners is low lives. They bar b que food at home and bring it into the restaurant for consumption on Summer holidays. There is no grill onsite. The southern food they serve on Sundays,the owners have one of their cooks prepare this food at home and bring it into the restaurant and they place it on the menu. You can not get a rare steak because they have left steaks unthawed all day and blood has drained out of them. I was thinking my steak was just over cooked until a waitress blurred it out. I went to this place enough to see at times flies will take your food because the owner needs to atleast repair the front entrance door.Twice I have had to ask for a fly swatters and cover my food with napkins and kill flies myself while I tried to drink coffee and decided to box my food to go. The last time I was there a dog was running around in the restaurant. Eventually the owner took the dog outside and he took the basket of hushpuppies on the table with him and sat it on his Jeep and let the dog eat out of it. When the waitress bought out his food and realized he was outside, she boxed his food and sent him a big red glass of water obviously for the dog because she could see as well he had the red hush puppy basket outside and the dog was eatting out of it. Remind you these were not disposable items. Obviously this patron was someone they knew overly friendly with. While the view is great and some of the cooks prepare good food, its overshadowed by the carelessness of the owners with the violations of heath department rules. I visited enough I seen these things. I will not go back under while its under this management. It changes hands often. I believe the female owner is incompetent and the male partner, her husband does just what she says.
