I got the $36.99 Dinner Bucket deal and they gave me all dark meat as I requested. Their prices have increased a bit from the menu on this Google menu. Their website connects to Uber Eats for online delivery or pickup ordering. The chicken is fantastic…crispy with just the right amount of salt. I debated and ultimately did take a star away because the sides aren’t that great despite the fact that the fried chicken is why I came here and what really matters. But here’s the breakdown of the masked potatoes and gravy, biscuits, and coleslaw. They beef flavoring in the gravy was a bit too overpowering. The biscuits were flavorful yet rather tough. The coleslaw just didn’t taste very good and there was too much dressing. I’ll definitely go back, but only for the chicken.

I always order the 3 piece and biscuit and they NEVER GIVE ME A BISCUIT. It’s always a dinner roll. Dinner roll is NOT a biscuit. Either change the menu to say dinner roll or just give me the biscuit that I ordered.

The one and only downtown chicken spot of Jersey. The food is good and the people are very nice. I have eaten here more than 100 time and have never had a bad meal. They give me just what I want and they never get the order wrong. I have paid three time the price in other places in the area and they do not come close. They drop the chicken in the fryer ever 20 minutes in small batches to keep it fresh. Gyro, burgers, fries, chicken, and hello salad lovers they have that also. You can ask for any combo of food. They have 2 litter sodas and uber eats delivery. I support family owed business if I can above all and this is one. The sweet potato pie, fried apple pie, and banana pudding should not missed because they are small , cheap and tasty.

This chicken spot is great. The chicken flavor is delish and even if it’s sitting out, the chicken skin doesn’t get soggy. They also offer great sides, one of which is corn on the cob. They are whole ears of corn and they are juicy and delicious. I would have given it 5 stars, but they are a cash only business. There is an ATM available but I wish they took credit/debit cards.

The food tasted great but it took a while to come out. Also, there was the issue of the unreasonably large amoumt of (presumably) human blood covering at least half the booths and the swarming Jersey City cops. They cleaned it up pretty quickly, which honestly probably explains why the food took so long. I’d still probably eat here again honestly.

I’ve come here a few times now for dinner and I can say that I’m happy I live nearby. For me, this beats out Popeye’s and KFC. The chicken is crispy, salty, and VERY well priced. Catch the chicken coming out fresh and it’s even better. I’m not a huge fan of the sides, but sides are not what I come here for.
