Small place with great tasting BBQ! I thought this is a mom and pop shop that put out excellent food. The owner is very friendly and funny. Service was super good. Decor was of a typical central Texas BBQ place and was clean. Got the brisket with a side of spicy cream corn. The plate came with onions, pickles, and jalapeños. I noticed they had peaches cobbler and decided to give it a try. It came out hot like it was just pulled out of the oven topped with whipped cream. The taste and quality was amazing. Wonderful place to eat and relax.

Couldn’t tell if the brisket was smoked or baked. Flavor was pretty good. Bread would have been better toasted with butter. Cheese sauce tasted a bit cheap.

Ribs fell off the bone! Brisket was good, but not the greatest. The special on Friday is a pulled pork grilled cheese with creamed corn…sooo delish!! Good prices and portions.

The Friday special: double decker pulled pork grilled cheese was AMAZING as was the jalepeno corn, coleslaw, potato salad!!! And the regular pulled pork and sliced brisket. EVERYTHING was top notch and the prices very reasonable! Employees were helpful, polite and kind! Restaurant itself very clean and nicely decorated. Definitely will come again when we are in town!

They live up to their name. Brisket is amazing. Get the peach cobbler, you can thank me later. The jalapeño cornbread is the best. I’m not a spicy food eater, black pepper does me in, but I could eat this. Had a small kick, but as I said I have the whitest tastebuds ever, but could handle this. We eat here every time we’re in the area and tell everyone we know they must try this place.

This place was so delicious! The hubby is a brisket connoisseur and was absolutely thrilled with the brisket. Beautiful bark, perfect smoke ring. The brisket fell apart. The pork rib just fell off the bone. We had a choice of sweet sauce and their regular. We loved both so much, we could not decide which one was our favorite. Loved every bite.

Stopped for lunch while passing through. To me it didn’t live up to my expectations. Ordered a 3 meat/2 sides platter for my wife and myself to share. Got brisket, sausage and chicken with jalapeño popper and jalapeño cornbread as the sides. First the plate is $2 more than noted here. Second, the portions were very small. 2 small slices of brisket, 6 thin slices of sausage and 2 tiny slices of what I assume was chicken breast. The brisket tasted ok, with nice crust but very little if any smoke. The sausage had good consistency, but lacked flavor. Bland. The chicken? Not Good at all. It tasted reheated, and if I didn’t know better, it tasted pressed not whole. The jalapeño popper was good, but only one and small. The cornbread was the highlight of the meal, the only thing keeping it from a lower rating. The iced tea was fresh and fresh brewed. All in all, it was disappointing and I would not recommend.

The service was friendly and the sides were pretty good, but nothing special. The brisket tasted like pot roast, no smoky flavor at all, tasted like it was baked. Should come with a side of potatoes and carrots. Ribs about the same. Meh. There are better options in the area.

Dosent look like much on the outside, but as soon as you walk in you know you’re in the right place.
