Great place, a must try if you are around! Needed food for an event at Henry Horton State Park Ave called day prior. Staff was very nice on the phone. Staff was super nice in person when I picked up the BBQ and green beans. The BBQ was great, and the sauce was a unique good flavor. The green beans were top 3 best I’ve had in my life. I will definitely eat here again if I’m in the area. All around great experience.

We picked up loaded baked potatoes (both pulled chicken and pork) and a pulled chicken salad after work. Food portions were just ok for around $14 per person. I had a hard time tasting the smoke on the pulled chicken salad. A bit underwhelmed overall.

Apparently the menu on the website isn’t updated. I still ordered the party pack to feed 12-15 people for family during a difficult time. Price 54.99 is now 129.96 wow what a big jump in price. Had the conversation placed the order was asked to call back after lunch rush to pay not once during our conversation she didn’t mention of a huge price increase. I called back at 2pm paid in full. Called back a few minutes later to ask if the order could get paper plates & plastic ware because the funeral home doesn’t supply. I was told of a price increase but would talk to the owner. I told the guy to forget it that across the street is a dollar general. Very disappointed I hope the food is good and everything accounted for. Geez never again.

Decided to ride my motorcycle today out from murfreesboro to grab some lunch somewhere I passed along the ride and ended up here! Immediately was greeted by the owner and his son along with all the staff. HIGHLY recommend the brisket and anything on the menu. Great family owned restaurant!
