I stopped at the Home Kitchen Cafe for a late breakfast. There was quite a waiting list, but being alone, I was able to sit at the counter. I was greeted by the waitress immediately and requested a water and coffee.

Home Kitchen Cafe is a must-visit for breakfast or lunch! Breakfast and lunch options are served all day, so everyone in your group will be happy here. They have an extensive menu that includes huevos rancheros, breakfast burritos, sausage and gravy, omelets, breakfast egg sandwiches, French toast, pancakes, and every kind of sandwich possible! I ordered the fish tacos and my husband got the El Cubano sandwich. The fish was fresh and everything was flavorful. This was the best meal we ate in two days of travel on the Midcoast and we will gladly visit here again. Be prepared for a wait, especially if you are there during a peak meal hour. But the wait is worth it!

Just delicious food! We had the huevos rancheros and hippy scramble. Fast service. Sat in the upstairs room, good ambience. Lots of vegetarian friendly options.

Oh Yea! What a gem of a place! Well worth the wait for a table but we got lucky and were seated right away. Big portions, tons of options including veg/gf. Our waitress Kim was AWESOME. EVERYTHING is scratch made. We’ll be back tomorrow!!!!

Home Kitchen Café is one of those places where I would give six stars if I could. We came here a couple of times over the course of the week and were greatly impressed by what we experienced each visit. The menu is creative and the food is outstanding. The service is friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is bustling even on this early Fall weekend. You can’t go wrong here. Highly recommended!

Food was great. The Hostess Barb was a hoot. Our waitress had a great sense of humor and was very pleasant. Prices were reasonable. We had lunch but saw some of the breakfast platters come out for others and those looked pretty delish also. They have indoor or out door seating. And an upper deck with a pretty good view of the harbor. I would definitely eat there again.

I have been on intermittent fasting for two and a half years – this was my third breakfast and SO WORTH IT!!! Pecan Cinnamon Bun French toast, so soft and delicious, the side of ham was perfect, thick, salty and the hash browns very good – a few tasted like they may not have been fresh this AM but still yummy. My wife took the lobster tacos and they were perfect. Lobster cooked properly, fresh made corn Tortilla and the beans were perfectly spiced! After breakfast we stopped by the Bakery- because if I’m breaking the diet might as well go all out – raspberry shortbread was Best I’ve ever had
