Disappointed. Spent well over 60 bucks for food that Lukewarm at best, zero flavor, and the wait….well, let’s say I could have flown to Saturn and returned and still no food. Overall very expensive for the portion sizes served, people keep on driving down to another place. Bubbas 33 sounds really good right now!

I haven’t been fortunate enough to dine in, but have had delivery and drive thru. From what I have experienced, I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Good food and good service. I highly recommend either their chicken fried steak or their burgers and curly fries. The fries are a little on the garlic side but goes well with the hamburgers. This place is a little pricy now but, not to far off when compared to everyone else.

Home Plate Diner is a place to get some comfort food in a nostalgic setting. The food is pretty good—especially for the price. I really liked the Roast Beef! It was a fun atmosphere with Baseball and such. The customer service is great. We would go back!

They forgot to bring out my salad. After waiting 15 minutes from my wife went up and asked for it. Then they started calling other peoples numbers for the main food. We were number 23, and when they got to 27 I went to the front. When confronted the staff said it was a quicker order. Except that it was the same exact thing we ordered. Then it was we can’t control what they do in the back. The previous review said the wait was long. I agree. It was way too long.

Diner was nice and very roomy. It was decorated with baseball player photos and bats. We like baseball and thought the decor theme was neat. Ordering was easy and the girl who took our order at the counter was nice and helpful. My kids had burgers and chicken tenders, my husband had the chicken fried steak and I had the grilled chicken salad. I didn’t hear complaints or compliments about food. My salad was just ok. The tea wasn’t that great either and I’m a big TEA fan. I thought it being “chef salad” that it would have bacon and croutons but it didn’t. My husband’s cousin had the chicken fried steak and she said that it lacked flavor. Mostly I liked the diner because it wasn’t packed with people, it had lots of room and the overall “look”.

Usually a good chicken fried steak dinner. Not at their finest today. Chicken fried steak was over cooked and not very hot. The green beans were super salty. The curly fries were hot and fresh as was the okra. It was still early so service was quick and efficient. Pertty friendly service. Placed was well cleaned. The chocolate cream pie and coconut merengue were the best part of they meal. Super creamy and fresh. The crust was baked just right. Loved them.

Good food, but not how I remember it growing up. The quality of food has definitely gone down. Service at this location is always pretty poor. I miss the locations in Lubbock. I usually come to this one cuz I love the curly fries, but this time they tasted like they had been fried in old grease, and had too much seasoning. I hope it gets better.

Slide in for some comfort food. Nostalgic atmosphere with much to admire. Definitely took me down memory lane with players that I haven’t seen in awhile.

No senior pricing but their prices are very reasonable. Most items are under $10 and the food it’s just good home-cooked comfort food. I’ve been there a couple times now and had a good meal both times. Beef stew one time and ground steak the other time. The beef stew had fresh vegetables in it, not canned or made from a dry mix. The hamburger was obviously handmade and not some frozen patty they bought from Sam’s Club . The mashed potatoes tasted homemade with slight chunks of potato mixed in . I wish they used real butter instead of margarine . I wasn’t crazy about the cobbler. I do wish they had breakfast meals. There is a ton of seating and the decorations are cute. The place is very clean.
