What a lovely evening! While Homer is not necessarily the place for quiet conversations, it is an absolutely phenomenal place to share amazing mediterranean food with friends!

You think you have had good mediterranean food. And then you come try this place and everything seems like a lie. I had heard about Homer a lot and finally tried it. Expect an hour wait for your table on weekends. We got the best seat in the house – on the bar by the kitchen. You can see the masters at work right in front of you – the chefs, the griller, the baker and the head chef at the pass. The menu is concise which is usually a hint that everything is gonna be good. We got the hibiscus water, house shrub soda, the lamb entree, hummus with cumin and pita bread, the apple, ham and ricotta salad and a raspberry x coconut soft serve. The drinks were unlike anything we’ve had. House shrub soda is highly recommended. It was sour and refreshing. The hummus was delectable and the pita was piping hot and fresh out of the oven. I never knew apple and ham could taste like it did in the salad. The lamb was cooked to perfection – the beans and salad that accompanied the entree reminded me of the dishes my mom used to make with eggplant. It was spectacular. This is one of the best restaurants in Seattle. Look no further.

The dinner I had here was truly exceptional! At the beginning of the night we had a few changes to our reservation and the staff was more than accommodating. The food was next level. 10/10. Would highly recommend the 3 dip combo starter, apple salad small plate, eggplant small plate and large plate salmon! Wine options were great and paired perfectly with the meal. The wait staff was friendly and attentive and my water was never empty. I will be recommending this place to everyone and will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!

Took my sister to Homer for our first restaurant visit during her stay. Homer did Seattle proud. We started with a a small plate of anchovies with harissa butter and grilled sourdough and added a salad with buttermilk, shaved vegetables, herbs and almonds. This set the tone for what would be a superb dinner full of bold flavors and textures for an overall impressive meal. Our large plates were grilled pork with rhubarb tzatziki, green garlic, turnips, hazelnuts and lime leaf. The roasted black cod with mushroom mousse (more like a foam – but I’m not complaining), pickled mistake, ikura and burnt kale oil was equally lip-smacking good. We also order a side of crispy basmati rice cake. The pork was well seasoned and succulent. The fish was a showcase of skill with wafer crisp skin and moist, flavorful flesh. We spent the entire meal trying to figure out how they pulled it off. The basmati rice cake had the texture of a dense cracker or chicharron – a perfect accompaniment. Wish I could tell you that there was one plate that was a standout. The only reason I can’t is because we thought every morsel we put in our mouth was extraordinary! Don’t miss this place if you have out of town guests you want to impress. The menu is very vegetable forward, so there’s something for everyone. Oh, yes, great specialty cocktails too!

A lovely meal with unique and invigorating ingredients. We came on a busy Friday night and were seated within 40 minutes. We both got cocktails, two appetizers and a main course to split. Everything was delicious and exceeded our expectations. It is easy to see that the staff and kitchen take pride in the quality of their dishes and drinks. The ingredients of everything we had were familiar but outside of the realm of what you’d normally find at your typical Mediterranean/Middle Eastern restaurant. It was a very welcomed surprise. I will definitely be returning soon.

I’d been wanting to visit for quite some time and finally braved the no-reservation policy. I was hoping things would be fairly chill early on a Sunday and luckily I was able to snag two seats at the chef’s counter around 5:30 with no wait. There was a considerable line when leaving and a friend dined here a few weeks back and had to wait 90 minutes for a table. So, plan ahead!
