Portions were generous, food was flavorful and tastes home cooked, customer service is great. Recommend to anyone looking for good food.

Oxtail is perfectly tender, the gravy over my rice is incredibly flavorful, and a few sauteed banana (plantain?) chunks are a nice semi-sweet treat.

I wish I could give 0 stars. First this place is under new ownership and new cook but they kept the name. I ordered jerk Salmon and rice and peas. The rice was clearly heated up from over night some parts was cold and stuck together and it had a old smell from the coconut milk. Called the store a lady get’s on the phone laughing and rude and tells me to get a life. I explained that is rude customer service and it’s health violation to sell heated up food especially at the wrong temp. She goes on to say do what you have to do. Okay I will if it was better customer service I would not leave a review. It’s not like I was asking for free food or a discount. My establishment that is on woodland avenue will no longer order and I will make sure to pass the word to all the other shops. SMH

I love the food here. And the owners are very pleasant and accommodating. I only wish they were open more often. My favorite is the curry chicken cabbage with the Mac, and my girlfriend love the curry goat. Please don’t sleep on them. The food is amazing with large portions.

I’ve been coming to this place for 8 years now and I can say it is the BEST in Philadelphia. I can say this because I’ve tried them all and it is not the same as when I eat here. I always get a large platter and it is always enough food for four people. I love that they take cards now because I hate carrying cash. I was very sad when you guys shut down for a bit but I’m happy to see you guys back in action! I honestly see some of these reviews and I can’t believe it because they are always nice and friendly no matter who is serving you. Guys stay blessed and I hope the owner is doing well. I think his son cooks now and he is doing a wonderful job and the daughter as well. Stay positive!
