I’ve been eating at Hometown since the early 80’s. It’s always good. What’s funny is the entree’s you expect to be good. It’s the fact that the house salad is good that’s surprising every time. I’m not talking Michelin star restaurant good, just plain ole good tasting salad. Good like, wow, that salad was pretty good for a pizza place.

Came here this year on 30 March to get some dinner before continuing my road trip west. La Grange is usually my first major stop along the way to watch trains. Great first time experience here; got the pizza and spaghetti/meatballs. Good staff, clean restaurant, and good atmosphere; would definitely come back again.

The measure of a pizza is how it tastes as cold leftovers. The original Hometown pizza, as I understand this one to be, did not disappoint. Even cold, the pizza was excellent. The staff was friendly and the place was busy. Always a good sign.

The food is always good. However the majority of times we’ve gone in for take out, their customer service has gotten quite bad. You’ll have 3 or 4 employees standing around talking. No one greets you. It takes a few minutes for anyone to acknowledge us. It could stand for improvement.
