My wife and I went there for lunch on our 19th wedding anniversary and had a unbelievable experience. The staff was so great and our waiter (Justin) was outstanding the food was delicious and to top everything off they made us a very special dessert that was amazing. They really made a special day for us even more special. Thank you to everyone there for all your hard work and giving us a special memory in time.

So my experience was okay. My husband and I, had crab Cakes and shrimp Cocktail for appetizers. Shrimp Cocktail was good. Can’t mess that up. Crab Cakes were super soft. Almost not done. I had a steak. It was honestly not worth the money. Not super tender nor flavorful. Just a regular ribeye, I could have at LongHorn, for less. The salad was delicious. My service was…. hmmm. Rushed! My server had a large group he kept reminding us about. First time here. I may try again.

This was our first time to Hondos. We were celebrating our last weekend out before having a baby, we didn’t have a reservation so we decided to enjoy dinner at the bar. Vanessa took wonderful care of us. The food was amazing and she even made me a delicious mocktail! Her and the other bartender surprised us with pecan pie for dessert. We definitely will be going back for another date night!

Don’t give me wrong. The steak IS in fact good. Got the cowboy ribeye. However, the lamb chops are holy f* good – I’m Peruvian. I’ve had a lot of lamb. That’s a great dish. Au Gratin potatoes > garlic mash. The spinach on the lamb chops had more garlic than the mash. Flavor bomb

This was our first time to visit and. We were extremely satisfied. .we don’t go out to eat much and when we do get to go we try to go some place nice. And this is a very nice place. The server was awsome and the food was cooked perfect. And nothing under done or over done. It was on point .and we will absolutely be back . Only regret is we should of ate there the time before when we came to town well worth the 1hr and 45 min drive in both direc.

First time, and unfortunately last time. Service was solid, no issues there. We started with the lamb chops and calamari. Lamb chops were cooked perfectly but flavor was lacking. The calamari portion was small and breading also lacked flavor. Caesar salad was great and appreciated the anchovies served with the salad. The bone-in filet was cooked well but way over done with the topping. Shaved Horseradish was too much. The au gratin potatoes were over-broiled and too greasy. The first Steak Frites had plastic in it and I had to send it back. When it returned, thick slabs of the shallot butter had been laid across the top which was not included on the first dish. They didn’t melt at all because the remade dish wasn’t hot.

We stopped for the night at the Hilton Garden Inn. Hondos was within walking distance. Even though it is considered a steakhouse, they have great seafood offerings. I ordered the bass and my husband got the crab cakes with a side of fried oysters. Yummy.
