Honey Pig in Irvine rocks! Their lunch menu starting at 12 pm is a winner. We got the special combo with mouthwatering pork belly (삼겹살), kimchi, tofu, salad, and bean sprout soup, plus the cold noodle (메밀냉면) and stirred pork (제육) a flavor explosion! The servings were generous and oh-so-satisfying. And let’s not forget the fantastic service – the attentive servers had all the answers and our food arrived in a flash. For a filling and fabulous lunch, Honey Pig is the spot!

We stumbled on to Honey Pig BBQ while looking for a place to eat after a baseball tournament in Irvine. This was a fun, different experience. The servers were great, answering all our questions, since this was a first for all of us. The servers did all the cooking and were very attentive. We had shrimp, wagu beef, and duck. The meal starts off with the servers bringing out the meal prep, which consists of kimchi and several other items served with whatever meat you choose. The servers cook all the food and tell you when it’s ready. There are dipping sauces, which were very good and rice paper for wrapping the food. There were no complaints about the meat we chose. Everyone loved the choices. The kimchi can be a little much if you haven’t had it before, It is an acquired taste type of food. At the end of dinner, the food leftover is combined with rice to make a fried rice meal. It was delicious. It would be tough to suggest what to get. I recommend asking questions and taking a chance on something you haven’t had before. I don’t think you will be disappointed in whatever is ordered. I can tell you the duck was a big hit with everyone. I look forward to returning soon to try something different. Have fun, take a chance, and enjoy the experience.

The intestines here are cleaned very well, have no odor, and are marinated in a very delicious sauce. I especially like the kimchi grilled intestines, which are very flavorful and have a spicy and stimulating taste.

Place was solid. The best part of the meal was the kimchi fried rice that they make for you at the end. The chadol beef was not great, a bit dry and not fatty enough. The thinly sliced pork was good and the samgyupsal was good too. The sides were just ok. The egg (gae lan cheem) was ok. The lettuce salad didn’t have enough dressing on it. The corn was just ok.

It was a good location, quality ingredients, good service as they do the cooking for you but you’re welcome to do it yourself. Long line up on a Sunday evening.

Very happy with my first visit here. I came here to eat on a weekday to eat with a friend and got the brisket kind of wish I would of tried the pork belly though. Everything from the kimchu to the meat was great. Definitely coming back whenever I get a chance. The staff pretty much preps and check up on the meat.

Meat, meat, and meat!!! Great. Quality meat and vegetables on Korean style steel lid-like pan. If you know K-style restaurants, free side dishes are gorgeous here. You won’t regret the wait. Totally worth the wait one of your best meals ever. After the grilled meat, mixed rice on the pan bombs away.
