I’ve been eating here for over a decade. It used to be consistent and always good. The last year or 2, you never know what quality you are going to get. The fried rice in the combos is plain tasting and sometimes has nothing in it but rice. Next time it will have some veggies. It used to always come with pork bits. I just found out you have to ask for the pork bits and they charge you a $1 and there isn’t even hardly any in the fried rice when you do order it. The prices have gone up a lot. Not just due to inflation. Chinese used to be a good, affordable option. We still order from there once in a while but it used to be 4-5 times a month. Now it’s like 1 time every few months.

I ordered Hot and sour soup and they sent me eggdrop then tried to convince me that it was hot and sour soup. I know the difference I order it from other restaurants all the time and I know what it looks like. Terrible customer service. And food is mediocre at best.

Super fast and very reasonable priced food! We eat here at least twice a month. It’s always tasty and the staff is friendly. Can’t beat the four for $33 deal. Feeds a family and leaves leftovers. Definitely a go-to spot in Hayes! Thanks.

This review is going to be almost entirely based on the quantity, quality, and price of their food as compared to service and shop appearance. They often have 5 or more things on special of which I’ll usually pick one, and personally, I can’t leave without at least buying 3-4 different menu items! I want to have a wide variety of flavors to choose from as if I’m bringing a mini buffet home to myself, and that never usually goes over $20. I’m always so pleasantly full and taste buds satisfied, with 2-3 more leftover meals to enjoy the next day as well.

Food is good, but the staff needs a lesson in customer service. They try to rush your ordering process by consistently asking if that is all you want, I have people n my home with food allergies and try to tell them how to prepare the food and they act annoyed every time I ask them to leave onions out of our food. It has gotten tot he point that my husband and I just drive into Newport news or get chines for our children when we are there. I wish there was another Chinese restaurant in the Gloucester area.

I called 3 times and the phone went directly to voicemail. I drove down there and since there were no menus available I ordered what I had written down from their online menu. When I was told the price of $44+ which was a little more than I expected but I’d check the price when I get home. I compared the online price to the menu I was given. This online menu order should have come to $26.70. I called to complain and was told that menu was “10 years old” and they “didn’t know who put menu on site”. I told her that I have no way of knowing this is an old menu and asked to speak to a manager. The girl I was talking to hung up on me. I then called back and was told someone will call me back. YOU CAN BET THEY HAVE LOST ME AS A CUSTOMER.

My family has been picking up food from here for years. It’s good carry out Chinese for what you’re supposed to get. Usually consistent and expedient. Ordering over the phone is the best way to go. About to get some for dinner tonight with my family!
