We ate here because our usual Chinese spot was closed on Wednesday’s. I ordered the sesame chicken with fried rice and was not impressed. The fried rice was bland and the chicken was dry. Will not visit again.

I have never eaten at Hong Kong City before, and decided to give it a try and ordered the Pork Egg Foo Young combo (and side of hot and sour soup) via Grubhub. The order arrived on time, complete and still warm. The Foo Young had nice size hunks of pork inside and a nice crispness around the edges (yet properly cooked insides). I upgraded to fried rice and it was worth it. The soup and egg roll were delicious as well. There was an overall subtle sweet taste to the Foo Young, rice and gravy. Not overbearing. I’d not hesitate to order from there again.

Really good classic Chinese takeout style food. Lo Mein was nice and fresh, not greasy. Beef w Broccoli was well cooked and flavorful. Vegetable spring rolls were a little mushy inside but the wrappers were perfect and the flavor was good.

If you’re from Maryland or DC then you know how good carry out should taste! This is not IT! Don’t even do it! Now I know not everyone eats alike so maybe I ordered something you possibly won’t. I ordered chicken wings & Fried rice, Shrimp egg foo young, Shrimp lo mein & 2 spring rolls! The food was nasty and spoiled. The chicken taste old. The lo mein had an excessive amount of lettuce in it which made it unfathomable to enjoy. The lo mein had a lettuce taste. The shrimp egg foo young was by far the worst I’ve ever taste in my life! The gravy was sweet and had a cinnamon taste idk it’s hard to explain that’s how nasty it was. The fried rice was so burnt it taste burnt & you could see the lil burnt pieces of rice all throughout it. We threw the food away at the trash right in front of their establishment. To sell spoiled chicken is beyond unacceptable. I’m 5 months pregnant so i was p!ssed. I mean you can literally taste how old the chicken was. They should be closed down.

One night after eating here I became nauseous and vomited, but I thought it was from the a Panera Bread I had earlier. I ordered food there following day and was fine. I ordered food a third day, believing the source of my food poisoning was from Panera initially, and threw it all up. It was the only meal I had that day. I’ve never been more sick in my life. I had to go to the hospital because the food poisoning was just that bad. DO NOT EAT HERE!
