This is one of my favorite places to get some quick Chinese takeout in the area not because it is amazing the food is pretty standard Chinese takeout, but the staff is friendly, the serving size is good and price is reasonable. We’ve been getting take out from here since the pandemic started. The take out is always great and the service is always friendly.The fried dumplings and Singapore fried rice are delicious. My son loves the kung Pao tofu.

We’ve never been in to eat so can’t say anything about the atmosphere but we order from here a lot and love the all the people and the food. I’m assuming that since all of the folks that deliver to us and the people we talk to on the phone when order are so nice, the atmosphere there must be nice as well.

Best Place I know for Chinese carryout (they do have seating). Always tastes great. So many similar places just don’t get the flavor or level of spiciness. I have a restaurant 5 minutes away but I drive 20 minutes to Hong Kong Express because the food is superior.

Dropped by to pick up a quart of egg drop soup. The menu is on a table in front of the register, and clearly lists the price for a quart of egg drop soup at $4.75. The price on my receipt was $6.31, so I knew something was wrong. I asked the lady at the counter about the difference in price, and she claimed the menu that is displayed is “old,” and that the price has gone up. The new price is not displayed anywhere. I asked for my money back and she argued with me. It is against the law to show a customer one price and then charge a higher price. This restaurant is breaking the law.

By far this is the best Chinese carry out in Northern VA. I have at at 100’s of places around the country and they rank in top 5. Flavors are just right, right amount of sauce and as Hot and Sour Soup enthusiast they are in tops. You cannot go wrong with this place. (there are other Hong Kong Express with different owners but they are similarly good.)

Why does the shrimp and broccoli taste bitter, old sauce? And why is the dumplings undercooked and chewy??? Do you just give to go orders ALL LEFTOVERS during rush hour thinking we wouldn’t know???! Stop ripping people off just because we are in a hurry …won’t be ordering to go again! Expensive for no reason!!!
