Not bad. The food is of a higher tier than most burger places (specifically the meat quality) but there is just something a little off about every minor detail; Service, plating, technique, cook times, atmosphere, beverages- All off by the tiniest of margins.

Would recommend! Enjoyed 2 good meals here. The first night was a Hook Burger. The melted cheese and onions added to the flavor or the very delicious burger. The Oreo shake a fries were a great compliment. The second meal was the Chicken Caesar salad. Nice size salad. Could have had less croutons but overall it was excellent. Great dining area.

My first time eating here and it was pretty good. I came during lunch on a Friday, so they were super busy. The staff were all friendly and quick with service. I ordered online, and when I arrived I tried calling for the curbside pick up, but no one answered the phone, so i just had to walk in. Not a big deal, they were busy! I got the mushroom burger and sweet potato fries. Its on the pricer end for a burger and fries, but i would say it was worth it. The portions are generous. The burger was full of flavor. I was able to taste each ingredient. The burger itself was char broiled, the mushrooms were flavorful, the bacon pieces were a nice compliment. No one flavor was overwhelming. The bun held up and did not get soggy and the fries were yummy. I will be back to try other dishes for sure.

I love love love the food here. I always get a bbq chicken salad. Its so yummy. It is so good & flavorful. The sweet potato fries are good too. Every time i go, they are polite & have fast service. My son loves the orange dream float!

After having this place recommend to me for a while I was in the area and stopped by, WOW what a delicious meal and great time I had. The portions were just right and the burgers perfect. The ability to get half onion rings and half french fries is also a bonus.

Always love to fine new places to grab a bite. Today I took my dad down to his VA appointment in Oxnard. When we arrived early we thought we would grab a bite. On our way down Rose ave we stumbled across Hook Burgers. The design was very inviting great vibe on the inside. Well it was not just good looks. Food was fresh and hot. Burgers were juicy, ingredients we’re crisp and fresh. Dad had the turkey burger juice was just pouring out. I had the mushroom burger with chopped bacon sour cream and shallots with a Dijon Mayo. Outstanding. Great service. Staff was prompt and very friendly. I’m HOOKED…….. hahaha sorry I had to.

Best burgers around. High quality! They deliver through the usual apps and it always comes so fresh and tasty. The strawberry shake is made with real local strawberries. You can tell they use top notch ingredients. A burger you can feel good about.

A bit pricey, you also have to purchase everything separately. Nonetheless, the Hickory Burger was very good! The onion rings and fries were awesome, the onion rings were just a notch better than the fries! Service was also excellent. Indoor seating was prohibited, outdoor seating was available. Expect Hook to be busy!
