This place was just terrible. The parking lot is full of potholes. The inside wasn’t as clean as it used to be. Looks like they’re doing just enough to get by. The guy behind the counter was unfriendly. And the food, apparently they still use the same batter as previously used. But the quality was completely different. I got the cod and shrimp. While the fish was ok, the shrimp were much smaller and over cooked. Never getting my money again

Good people, alright service, terrible price for the quality of food. The looks of this place its self will scare you away, I don’t know how they pass their food inspection, I decided to try it still I finished one chicken tender and my frys but that chicken had flavor of bad oil.

Depends on if you are in a betting mood. Your chances are 60/40. 40% guaranteed to get high quality fried food blasted with a “special seasoning” which has so much acidity to it that it burns your tongue. In fact, if they gave you ketchup, I would say that this is a fabulous place which would leave you craving it and coming back for more. Even the slenderest packet of ketchup would alleviate the burning sensation and make it excellent.

Order 3 pieces of whitening got tenders fries and shrimp nothing I ordered return to restaurant to correct order, fish had a nasty taste had to toss food in garbage. Very disappointed with meal.

When you walk in the doors of HFC for the first time, you’re not sure what to expect based on the unassuming nature of the establishment, but I promise, it’s by far more prodigious than you may expect. I got my favorite, the cat fish. I feel it necessary to report that the catfish isn’t quite as thick or moist as I remember it being from my last visit. I was expecting the golden brown crispy crust coating the overflowing white mounds of succulent fish flesh, but the filets being so thin, that wasn’t quite the same experience. Still, the fries are exactly what they need to be, crispy, deep golden, and delicious. 11/10, would dine here again and happily destroy my diet and reputation if necessary to get my grubby paws on some of the best fried food the city has to offer.
