Made a quick stop here with my daughter. The atmosphere is great, food was fantastic, and the service was speedy and efficient. Our entire order was a hit, except for one detail. While we highly recommend the lobster bisque —it’s truly incredible—as well as the delightful hushpuppies and Cajun fries, the crabmeat salad was a bit of a disappointment. It was difficult to discern whether the crabmeat was real or imitation. It appeared to be a mix of the two. Whatever the case, it’s not a dish we’d reorder or suggest; it simply lacked flavor. This was the best experience. I came here with my husband while waiting for the Beyonce concert. Our hostess Key was phenomenal. She explained the meals and what couples typically order. She was pleasant and patient while we looked through the menu. The only thing I didn’t like was that the manager was working the bar that night and he went to the back during our meal. We weren’t able to get an alcoholic drink. Other than that, the food was amazing along with the atmosphere. I definitely would go here again.

Awesome 90s early 2000s vibe. I would suggest sticking with what they are known for which is their Boil. Get your choice combination ( just garlic butter if you want to mind salt level/intake). Put on your bib and gloves and go to town! They have a great cocktail selection and ice cold ❄️ beers. Cheers! My mother’s favorite – just celebrated her birthday there and it was a great time.

I went to Hook & reel for my daughters birthday on 8/27:2023 and was turned away by the owner who stated he had to power wash his floors and did not care about my confirming my reservation and was very nasty. I arrived on location with my party of 10. My daughter was devastated to say the least . Might I add the establishment didn’t close for another 2 hours . I got the impression it was because my party was Black! I’m so disappointed by the whole situation. The owner showed no hospitality and was very rude! I’ll never support this place again and with the way the owner behaved with my family I don’t suggest anyone Black support them either!

There was a roach on the table that we was eating on and it ran across my phone and when I went to speak with the waitress and the manager, the waitress said out her mouth “it’s just a bug” and the manager was trying to give 20% off and saying the next time we come back it’ll be 20% off again. It won’t be a next time, that’s unacceptable and I would never eat here again!

The place was quiet and empty at lunch time on a Tuesday. We went in for lunch and were disappointed with flimsy thin napkins and plastic utensils in a small bucket on the table. Salad croutons difficult to spear with plastic fork. Food is okay. They didn’t have unsweetened iced tea. Adequate napkins and flatware needed for dine in service.

Again, this is one of those difficult reviews. I feel like four stars is too low but five stars is a little too much. I would love to have given it a four and a half star. As far as the food is concerned, it was good and full flavor and definitely deserves five star. My only reasoning for four is the quantity of food for the price. When I hear Cajun I think potatoes, corn, sausage, shrimp, crab all in one but every almost every item was an add-on. But on a good note, the employees were very friendly and very quick with the service which was really nice. I’ll definitely go back
