(First timer here )I went on a Sunday at 5:00PM. The place was pretty empty, So we were able to get seated pretty fast. The waitress took our order for the beverages and came back in about 3-4 minutes. The Seafood boil came in about 20 Minutes which was pretty quick compared to most places. My whole family ordered the Cajun Boil, it was delicious BUT When I asked for Spicy the Cajun sauce wasn’t spicy for me compared to others places. That was the only problem I had with the food. But besides that, everything else was good. Only problem is I spent $230. Which is pretty pricey compared to other places. Will I come back ? Yes, I would. But only once a year, theirs cheaper Restaurants who serve seafood boil.

As a first-time visit, I was impressed. No waiting when I walked in, I was taken to a table near the bar and restrooms. I did sit near the entrance, which has an announcer whenever the door is opened. I had the catfish platter with tartar sauce and a Pepsi. Everything was hot and delicious. I took a few bites of crab legs, crawfish, shrimp, and lobster tail. It was awesome. Large sausage slices and half corn cob in it.

Well, I never complain at restaurants but I have to say I was not happy with my meal at all. I just wanted a poboy, so I tried the crab meat sandwich. The sandwich was lettuce and tomatoes with a dash of crab meat on top. $13 dollars for basically a veggy sandwich.

Upon our arrival, we were seated within less than 10 mins. We ordered the calamari, crawfish poboy, and the weekender special. Calamari is crispy and fresh however, it was salty in my opinion.

I have been coming to this established for along time. Especially because I love ordering the reel and I love the Cajun candy drink. However, today I left without even an attempt to apologize from the staff, for how we were treated. I can only assume because of my attire that I was treated different because normally the wait staff is awesome. They sat us down way in the back of the restaurant and we sat there for 15 minutes without a single person acknowledging us or even taking our drink order. They sat another couple next to us and they were service immediately. I asked for the supervisor and when she came she advised us that our server was in the rest room and will be with us soon. I asked how can someone be served before us and she just replied our servers are busy. That was our cue to leave! No apologies, no I’m sorry, no anything but a good old “don’t let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya”! For the amount of money I spend every time, I come to this restaurant I will not be returning for the way we were treated and judged!!! No thank you I’ll just start going to Red Hook instead!!!

The food was really good and price worthy. Our server Ezra was very helpful and has great recommendations for favorites to choose from. Ezra also showed very excellent customer service. He was very prompt to our every need. Must try the lemon pepper flavor butter and add broccoli and corn!!!!! Great job Ezra. The bartender (Soleil) I forgot how to spell it but overall she was great as well. Very excellent customer service, high energy, and professional attitude. The drink we had was delicious!! (Strawberry Hennessy) We will definitely be returning.

I went to hook and reel last night, 8-22-23 @9:18. The host who was wearing sweat pants (like she just woke up from a nap)immediately told me the restaurant was closed when I walked in. They must have been running people out. There looked to be nothing but kids standing around. No adults or managers to be seen. The place doesn’t close until 10…it’s the service industry, expect to leave at 11/12pm. Not when the restaurant closes. If you close @9, advertise accordingly
