The first Hooters opened October 4, 1983, in Clearwater, Florida. The Original Six founders were quickly detained for impersonating restaurateurs, but fortunately for America, they were soon allowed to go about their business.
During its history, the Hooters concept has remained true to its roots. The current logo, uniform, menu and ambiance are all very similar to what existed in the original store. This consistency is understandable given Hooters continued success and high ranking amongst the industry’s growth leaders.

Wouldn’t recommend this place. Way to many other places with better wings. The little bone nugget was considered one of my 6 I ordered, when I brought it to the attention of the waitress she returned 10 mins later with a single wing on a plate. Not her fault but how can they mess up a order of 6 wings

Went here two times since the reopening. Before they closed, the waitresses were trained better in that they treated EVERY guy equally with their attention. I like going here during off hours, so theres a few people at the bar. Basically, the bartender will only do minimal service if you aren’t some young attractive guy. I’m not ancient or ugly, but it seems that while it is slow, waitresses and bartender will congregate around one person and pop out every now and then to check on the rest of us not deserving of the same attention. We come here for the experience. A friendly chat, a few laughs…I had some good chats with the staff before the closing. Retrain your staff. Everyone should get equal attention and not to be made to feel like an outsider. We’re all paying the same price…but we leave better tips, so earn it. Other than that the food is the same, Wings are still good.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that Hooters had feminine products in the women’s bathroom! I love that. Our waitress was very friendly. The food was okay. I asked for my burger to be medium rare but it turned out well done. I ordered the Twisted Texas Melt. It was delicious, however the only downside is that the bottom bun gets soaked in the sauce and makes a mess and it becomes difficult to hold the burger. The fries were bland and most of them were hard and dry.

No AC working and it was in the 90s! After being seated it took the waitress about 15 minutes before she even came out from the back to greet us. The wings took forever and were lousy, not like they used to be. It was early in the day we were one of the only tables in there and we just weren’t paid attention to enough. I was very excited to bring my 17 year old since he got his name from a visit to Hooters in Hyannis Mass. 2 years before he was born. It was a great story and I thought it was finally time for him to visit a Hooters. I just wish it was a better experience for him.
