I went based on recommendations online. It was awful. The dumplings appeared to have been premade and looked as though they had been sitting in grease. They were barely warm and seemed to have been microwaved. The shrimp lo mein had some mushy shrimp that I wouldn’t have eaten past today. Barely any flavor, equivalent to putting 2 or 3 small packages of soy sauce on. I will not be back and ended up throwing the food away for fear of getting sick.

This is our family’s favorite Chinese restraunt. The food is absolutely delicious and the service is always fast. The prices are fairly reasonable, with lunch (before 3pm everyday) is roughly $8 a meal and dinner being roughly $12 a meal. The lunch portions definitely only feed one person, but the dinner portions could easily be split between two people or have as leftovers, whichever you prefer. They do have a couple of tables if you choose to dine in, but I would say it is mainly a takeout restraunt. The best way to order your food is to call ahead of time, but if you wait and order once you get there, it usually only takes about 15 minutes. I would highly recommend, as this has become a staple for our family!

Hop Bo has fantastic Chinese takeout. The portions are HUGE and so you get a lot of bang for your buck. Inside the restaurant, it is quite small and loud, so I would recommend getting take out rather than dining in.

I ordered sechuan tofu and it was terrible and watery… it used to one of the best in town, it tasted like soup with veggies and maybe 9 pieces of tofu and cut really small!!! This is unacceptable!!! I just had to throw it out.. the vegetable fried rice was tasteless!! What is going on? Did the management or chefs change? I definitely will not be ordering again from here and will definitely not send anyone here. Please do better!!

I had high hopes for this place because the reviews are pretty good. The beed with broccoli was good, but the fried rice didn’t have a taste to it. The lo mein was the same, not great and not horrible I just wish there was more flavor.

*Edited to say* Hop Bo – what have you done?? You’ve kicked it up a couple of notches, that’s what..! Ohmygosh. The dishes are not only more authentically-spiced, but the grease is reduced. Egg Foo Yong used to be sitting in a pool of grease – no longer! In the Mongolian Beef – sweet-heat, garlic, onions, TENDER beef – fire~! Moo Goo Gai Pan – needs more Chinese celery, but the garlic and melt-in-your-mouth chicken – addicting~!

Good portions in the combo. Not too salty, but the eggrolls have celery. Honey chicken had good flavor.

Been buying lunch here for 18 years. They have a unique blend of spices different from basic chinese fare. We like the taste.
