If you love a good pub atmosphere, HopLite is a great choice on Pleasure Island. This has been a great spot for years and the more recent owners have kept up the good vibes. They also give back to the local community and are very active in helping lead popular grassroots volunteer activities like weekly trash pickups. Well done HopLite! Also, a good client just down the street from our shop!

Would give it a 2.5. Had local bar vibe so If you’re going to have some beer and hang out would be fine. But If you’re looking for a good place to eat unless you’re in the mood for very greasy bar food that has no seasonings you should go somewhere else. We got the Reuben egg rolls ,fish and chips and a burger and some beer. The beer was fine. Everything else was saturated with grease. If you’re looking for a place with fresh choices and made on anything but a flattop and deep fried then this isn’t the place you’re looking for.

Awesome sit down restaurant after some frustration with Carolina Beach parking “app” so we drove here since it had its own parking. Great pub feel, good service and great food. Wings are great and a great deal. Shepherd’s pie was great but very cheesy. Lamb burger was liked by one of us but not the other. We didn’t try any beer so can’t rate it.

This is truly a “pub” with good food, great live music, and a great atmosphere. My wife had the shepherd’s pie and I had the fish fry special. Guinness on tap and a non-alcoholic IPA rounded out the meal. It’s not very big and the music can get loud, but if you’re looking for a fun place to eat and drink, check it out.

Fish n chips…no flavor at all. So sad.

You won’t regret stuffing your face with one of the most beautifully presented pretzels one can lay their eyes on!

This little pub was amazing. The cheese sticks and giant pretzels were the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Fish sandwich was a little small, but still delicious. Great prices as well

Fast service and alright food. Outside dining area smells of overfilled trash cans and has the flies to prove it. We couldn’t keep them off our food, so we paid and left.

Food was awful! 6 of us got different meals – all bad. Everything deep fried tasted fried in the same grease. Very poor service. Would NOT recommend this place.
