Wow its been a while since I had the pleasure of sitting down to some good ole fried fish!!! Y’all did it again everything was A-1 my hats off to the cook ! I use to patronize the H street ne location but as you know the parking over there is a straight beast …. this Landover spot is convenient,clean and killer !!!! I will be revisiting Y’all Friday keep up the awesome work !

After a long day of work , I decided to give this place a try. I ordered the Fish & Wing Combo (2pc whiting, 2pc chicken wing). My sides were collard greens & yams. My favorites from the dish was the yams and the chicken . I took between 5-10mins for me to receive my food. They have an outdoor seating area. That’s where I enjoyed my food. Overall I’m happy for giving this place a try.

Food was hot, season and plentyful. Ribs were seasoned to the bone! We saw the smoker going from the highway and the smell made us turn around. Had great food on our way to DC. Thank you!

Got the whiting and shrimp dinner combo and an order of hush puppies. The food was delicious and I crushed it all before I even got out of the parking lot. I gotta come back and try the ribs. Octavious helped me out behind the counter and he was polite, kind, and friendly. Excellent experience overall, I will be back when next I’m in the area.

I usually get a pan of fish to go. It is always hot and fresh out of the grease. The staff and manager were courteous and the fish was slamming. It was the star at the cookout. Thanks guys! I’ll be back real soon.

This was the nasty BBQ I have ever had in life it tasted like lighter fluid. I ordered a slab of ribs for $36.00. You can’t see the food before hand and they have a no exchange or refund policy. There were no grill marks no where to be found on the ribs they were a funny color gray like they boiled the ribs and then put them on the grill and spray the ribs with lighter fluid. You receive 12 bones the ribs were meaty but not good at all. I should have known I went there before and ordered and wasn’t good. I will never ever patronize this place again in life. What a waste of money!!! The young man at counter instead of him paying attention he’s texting while you food is waiting for him to pick up from the counter getting cold Do better!!! People work hard for there they don’t have to throw away receiving nothing an exchange for there hard earn money. The owner should be embarrassed and ashamed of the quality and product they’re serving to the public. That’s why the owner has place that sign stating no exchanges or refunds so the owner and workers aren’t held accountable for serving food that’s not up to standards!!! Wish I could rate them a negative double zero!!!

The day I visited the service was not good. I waited about 40 minutes . The barbeque ribs were very good and made up for the small piece of chicken that was undercooked. The potato salad that had potatoes that were too firm. The greens had too much vinegar and a bit of grit. The banana pudding was good

We went there on the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend. We had fish, ribs, greens, mac & cheese, and potato salad. All of the good cooks must have been out of town. I have eaten here several times and for the most part it has been good, but this last time was an epic fail. I believe that they brought back every convict that ever cooked at the 12th & H. St. location on Good Friday. That fish was incomparable. Consistency is key as I do not have money to waste.

2 stars for the great customer service (she was really a sweet heart and nice) I was so disappointed from the time I opened the box..I used to live around the corner from 12th & H location so I know the awesomeness of H&D. I even purchased from this location, I think last summer, and it was really good. I don’t understand why the quality was so poor! It was cooked in cornmeal that looked like most of it fell off in the grease. The fish was rubbery and grease soaked..not sure if the grease was extremely old or the fish was old and re-fried….maybe both. The ribs were decent but had a hint of flavor I wasn’t very fond of..maybe cherry wood smoked. 2 fish plates and a Slab of ribs..w/tip we spent about $77. I’m sorry but I can’t come back. I was really hoping for the same quality of fish I had some months ago. It’s unfortunate that it’s hard to get and keep good employees these days.
