We love going here. The only complaint is that I got a steak cooks rare, and my boyfriend gotta say cook medium rare. Mine was more cooked than his, so we just switched them. Are Waitress super friendly. We got there a little before noon, and there was no wait. As we were sitting there enjoying our meals, it did get bizier. We always go here if we want a really good salad. The iceberg lettuce and the salad bar is always so crispy. It’s definitely one of the best places in state college. It’s come a long way in service and in food. Headed in a positive, very good direction. Keep up the good work!!

Had to wait a long time with other customers for someone to come over and take us to a table. Got our drinks and ordered. Had the salad bar and waited over 30 minutes for our dinner. We had to ask where our food was. There had been food sitting in the kitchen ready to go out but the wait staff was ALL too busy standing around a table near the kitchen talking to someone at the table. The food came out cold and not cooked as ordered. Sent it back but decided to just leave. Went to pay and they were going to charge us for the meal that we didn’t eat. We would have payed for the salad bar but not the meals. She left and came back and said we were good to go. Fine. Horrible service and food. They weren’t even busy. Seriously the place was empty. No reason for the long wait for our dinner.

A hidden gem that only locals seem to know about. You have to work at leaving here hungry. Don’t let the name fool you, vegetarians can just fill up at the Salad bar, soup bar, nacho bar and desert bar. Oh yeah they have all that and more!

The only thing that made me give this place even two stars is the service and the salad bar. The rest of the experience was terrible. My cheesesteak sandwich was the saltiest thing I’ve ever been given at a restaurant. It completely disguised the taste of the meat entirely. The mashed potatoes were even extremely bland. The price is not worth the quality of the food at all.

Our server was amazing! She was super friendly, checked on us, made sure we had everything we needed when we needed it. Our food was delicious. The atmosphere is the original hoss’s decor that all the hoss restaurants have. A fresh coat of paint and new pictures for updating would go along way but did not affect any thing otherwise. I’d highly recommend this place.
