The pho was packaged very well to avoid spills on the drive home. Having it packaged and taken to go allows you to feel like a bit of a chef when going home to recreate this popular dish. The staff was very friendly and it was very quick to call in my order and pick it up. Overall the food was ok. I ordered vegetable pho with no tofu.

Nice place and exotic food. I tried 2 different egg rolls and the summer rolls. All of them were fresh and delicious. The waitstaff were non-existent when I arrived though and not sure if it was a communication issue but I ordered a sweet tea and got water instead. Also, never saw the waiter again after food came out which may have cost them business if I had wanted to order something else. You also have to go up to the bar to pay as they keep your check up there and do not bring it to you even after we asked for it which is strange. I am going to chalk this up to a new staff and maybe a lack of procedure from management. Will definitely try again though!

I’ll give this a 3.5 stars as my beef pho was a 4 and my wife’s vermicelli was a 3. The pho was a nice generous serving with plenty of thin sliced steak in a flavorful broth. The elder gentleman that waited on us did not speak much english so if you are not familiar with Vietnamese cuisine ask for the younger guy who I believe is his son. They do not serve the Taiwanese bubble tea/pearl milk tea but have a good assortment of other drinks. I would definitely go back for the pho.

The experience was very nice, the quality of the food was good also. This is by far the cleanest Vietnamese Restaurant I’ve ever gone to. The restroom was well kept, and the dinning area was maintained. This is one of Chester’s best kept secrets. Will definitely be back .

Typical Vietnamese restaurant in the Central Virginia area. Prices are slightly higher than similar restaurants. I ordered traditional egg rolls and flank beef pho. My egg rolls were greasy and hard to chew so they were replaced by shrimp rolls which were ok, just a shrimp and onion deep fried. The pho was ok as well. The broth was similar to what I’m used to but missing some seasoning.

First time going here and it was really good. The large bowl was really big and came with a good amount of meat and noodles. All the other ingredients and sauces are on the side so you can put in as much as you like. Will definitely be returning.

This place definitely runs neck to neck with So pho 1 in Richmond which says a lot! I ordered pho with eye of round, fresh shrimp spring rolls, and a Vietnamese ice coffee… All of it was perfect! Spring roll was cool, shrimp was fresh and not mushy and the veggies were crisp! The broth of the pho had the perfect balance of spices and the eye of round was cut super thin. The plate of herbs and sprouts were fresh and the coffee was strong and not overly sweet, just as I like it! The one thing that made this restaurant stand out from So Pho was that it was spotless! The restaurant itself was very clean and modern which would make it a perfect spot to have a date… Taste wise So Pho is still slightly better but I’m just glad to have a delicious place on this side of town to get my pho fix!

Excruciatingly slow and bad service. Had to repeatedly ask for basics like water refills. Pho was average. Seafood soup (really just shrimp and squid) in photo was inedible. Will never return.
