Don’t judge it by the outside, or by the inside really. We were there listening to a band and it was great! The desserts here are stunning, an absolute delight to eat. Highly recommend! The staff were so lovely and welcoming. It would be great if the sauce didn’t come in small plastic containers as that’s a bit of waste that’s not needed. Apart from that, our dinner filled the spot and that dessert… oh my!

We annually travel from Wisconsin to Alabama. While staying at a hotel in Franklin, the desk clerk suggested we try the Hot Plate. We’ve eaten there many times & never have been disappointed. The only time was when we stopped on a Saturday, not knowing the Hot Plate would be closed.

Went today, waited 43 minutes for our breakfast, there were only 4 other tables. The waitress brought the food and forgot my husband’s hash browns and she said she didn’t have them made because he didn’t “list” the items he wanted FROM A BREAKFAST SPECIAL that COMES with hash browns. Dang it, loved this place

Excellent old school cafe diner style with locals only. I had to drive an hour from Nashville to come here and it is definitely worth it!! Not for the Cali earthy derthy gluten or vegetarian crowd. Thank goodness real people have a place to eat here.
