I travel back and forth to take my 14 year old son to cancer treatment. I ordered through Uber eats and accidentally put in the wrong address and my first thought was to immediately cancel and reorder as I had placed the order less than 2 minutes prior. It was my first time ordering through Uber eats and I was not aware that they would take my money and not refund me. The email stated that the merchant excepted the order and they will still be paid but I would not get my food. I reached out to Uber eats and they were not helpful and pretty much told me that there was nothing they could do and I would not be refunded. I called hot wok and they were absolutely amazing. Having no idea how much of a panic I was in, thinking I had just lost $60 and wasn’t going to get my food. They advised me to reach out to Uber eats which I had already done. I tried reaching out to them a second time explaining that I could just pick up my food if they were already paying the merchant. They told me no, that I would be out all that money and to pay more attention next time. To my surprise I got a call from hot wok who offered to reach out to them, they called me back and sorted everything out and allowed me to come pick up my food. I have two happy kiddos as we wait for my son to receive his radiation treatment. Thank you for being awesome.

Made an online order they approved and gave me a confirmation number. They gave me a 45 minute wait time for delivery. 60 minutes later I call them to see where the food is. He tells me order is canceled because card was suspect. I don’t understand what that means, but if there was a problem with the card, I wish they could’ve called the reference phone number they asked for that I gave them and asked me for correction. Order from them at your own risk.

I am from California. This has to be the worst Chinese food that I have ever eaten. The fried was tasteless, hard with just a few tiny pieces of pork. The chicken was tasteless and dry. The cream cheese wonton had no flavor just bland. Even the sweet and sour sauce was bland. Don’t waste your money or your taste buds. Only people who do not know what Chinese food taste like will say this mess is good. This place is an insult to Mien, Cantonese, Chinese, Hmong, Laos, Japanese and all the other Race and Ethnicities from East Asia that I can think of. I will be praying that someone from California come and teach a Master Class on Authentic East Asian Foods. Y’all need prayer.

Wow This is bad Chinese food guys , sorry to say but stay away! I ordered an orange chicken with white rice , a spring roll and a chicken noodle soup. The soup looked just , not appetizing at all. I didn’t even bother, straight to the trash. The orange chicken tasted so much like fish? Even the white rice smh , tasted old and I don’t know maybe over cooked.

Ordered a delivery order from the HotWok on Margaret Street in five points. The young woman who answered the phone was more than rude. She rushed my order and when I asked her to be patient with me she placed me on hold while she went and took two other orders while I’m supposedly “on hold”. She comes back to the phone, saying ok what do you want? And I stated to her the rest of my order. She tells me the price and before I could get my card out she hangs up! I called back and explained that the young lady quoted me a price but never took payment. Apparently it was the same person, for they were just as rude and said, give me your card number. I gave it, the expiration date and she just said, “that’s all I need” and hung up. I will not order from here anymore and stick to the one on Edgewood where the service has more patience and is more friendly. I love their food, but will not stand to be spoken to so rudely. I will gladly take my business elsewhere.
