Great bbq place located inside the American Dream mall. It is a bit loud in there due to their music but it is quite enjoyable. From what I’ve tried on their bbq pork belly, it is amazing! Great charcoal flavor and tender and juicy. Their wings are also excellent with the best tasting bbq sauce I’ve had yet!

The wings and tortilla chips and queso were great. The wings felt overpriced for only receiving 8 wings for $16.

My wife and I loved this restaurant. The waitress: Hennessey was awesome she knew the menu like the back of her hand. She even pointed out the specials for the day. If it wasn’t for her, we wouldn’t have enjoyed the nice half priced pitcher of mango margarita. The food was amazing as well. We had their drisket and pulled pork sandwhich with fries and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese blew me away it’s self due to how cheese it was, and it was my first time ever having a pepper jack mac and cheese. The in-house sauces were amazing to both the fries and the sandwichs. I would love to recommend it and also come back for more.

Really nice spot to satisfy your bbq cravings after long day of shopping and entertainment. Friendly staff, fast service. Place has plenty of large flatscreens for sports fans. We really liked the brisket and smoked wings in bbq chipotle sauce. Corn bread was on the dry side. Overall great experience!

Who doesn’t love a barbecue? Whether at the park or in the backyard, barbecuing is a seasonal staple consisting of smoked brisket, ribs, beans, or cornbread. There are plenty of establishments to choose from to get one’s barbecue fix, and my partner and I came tonight for dinner at House of ‘Que inside the American Dream mall in East Rutherford. The menu specializes in Austin, Texas-style barbecue. Upon arrival, the décor was a contemporary, exposed-ceiling, semi-dark industrial sports bar with numerous flat-screen TVs and country music throughout. Seating was plentiful, and we decided on a high-top table. Scanning the CR on the cell phone yielded the menu. Since we only had one phone, it would have taken a while before we ordered. Luckily, our server, Sara, was able to provide a paper menu. We decided on HOQ Chicken (house-seasoned grilled chicken with lettuce, tomatoes, pickled onions, and BBQ mayo on a potato bun served with fries) and 1/2 lb. pork ribs and corn bread. The BBQ is sold by the pound, with sides as an extra. The food was tasty, and the service was good. The meat was tender, and the sauces were good. But for the price, we aren’t so sure it was worth it, so we won’t be back.

One of the closest to Texan BBQ spots I’ve found in the area. I just love love the brisket here and smoked sausage. The curly fries was so crispy and tasty. Their drink specials are a great deal. The waiter gave exceptional service, he kept checking in us and recommending us different items to try. We tried the peach cobbler, it was alright not bad. The best I’ve had is in Atlanta lol. Anyways, the spot definitely gets busy so make reservations to be seated ahead of time, at least that’s what we did. Will come back for some brisket just love the Texan south vibes I get . Parking lot is only $5 for the day.

Ok spot for bbq. Overpriced imo. But they gotta pay rent. Food was decent and service was average. I don’t think this is an authentic representation of Austin bbq but to each their own.

Exactly what you’d expect from a place called House of ‘Que. Good BBQ or BBQ adjacent food, big portions, great drinks and ambience. With giant TVs places everywhere near the bar area, this place is actually amazing to watch a game.
