Oh my goodness! I have lived in Xenia for 3 years and honestly up until recently I had never even had Thai food. This place is AMAZING!!!! If you have ever had Thai or have ever thought about trying Thai, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! If you’re like me, I can’t handle spicy and you can actually order the food with no spice! We started with the shrimp blankets and crab Rangoon for appetizers and let me tell you, they are on point! It came out hot, the sauce was so tasty, crispy and the Rangoons were full. Then I ordered the pineapple tangerine chicken with no spice and just wow. The fruit was fresh, the chicken was cooked to perfection and whatever that sauce was, was phenomenal. My husband ordered the seafood clay pot at a mild heat, and as you can see it actually comes in a clay pot. My husband said it was very tasty. It has a bunch of different seafoods and the clear noodles. They give you a big portion of rice with your meal and just by itself it is delicious. We finished up with the mango sticky rice. The rice was warm and the mango was chilled and fresh. I cannot express just how mouth wateringly delicious this dish is.

The House of Thai has menu items for a variety of different tastes. The medium heat Pad Thai was very delicious with beef. The staff was friendly and checked on us the right amount of time. There is plenty of seating for large or small groups.

So I actually meant to order from a different Thai restaurant, one that was closer to my house and has a similar name. This is where I accidentally placed an order from, and I’m glad I did! I loved the food I ordered (just a few appetizers because I just wanted something light) and the building was so cute, I loved all the flowers around it. I would love to come back here for a lunch date with my husband and try some entrees.

Food was hot, fresh and mine had good flavor. My daughter’s beef pepper steak was a little bland and small portion for price. A level 2 is almost too spicy. The service is lacking. Although he was very kind, he didn’t offer refills of water and automatically added 20 percent gratuity on our bill for a party of 7. (One of the seven was two years old). I felt that was a little steep for mediocre service. I am a notorious over-tipper but this didn’t feel fair. I’m not sure that I would come back.

If you want Thai or Asian food, step right up!! This place has great food and that’s what really matters. I got their Pad Kee Mow which was like nothing I’d had before. We also ordered crab rangoon and liked it so much we got another serving (pretty good price for them too). It needed to be a little crunchier for me to say it’s the best crab rangoon I’ve had, but it was close. The meal comes with a pleasant and simple cilantro and scallion soup which came right before our meal. In terms of service, it was a bit slow even though there were only two other tables being served at the time. The inside of the restaurant is fine, but when you get there don’t judge the book by its cover. It’s a little run down on the outside, but again, I’d much rather have a place look underwhelming than have the food be underwhelming.

The food is very good here. They have updated their decor and heating and cooling since my last visit. The papaya salad is excellent and my husband enjoys the stir fried chicken cashew. I also got the pad khee ewe which was very good.

Travelling through town and looking for a place for dinner. Ended up here based on a local’s recommendation. The place is well kept and organized. We were seated quickly and given water and the menus. Looking through it we noted the presence and absence of many of the Thai “standards”.
