Well, I kept expecting to have ANYTHING to complain about besides being a bit pricey, buuuut, ya DEF get what you pay for here!! Reviews are on point, food fantastic, service excellent, only gave 4 stars on atmosphere bc there was a few very large parties and they were pretty vocal, so it was a lot noise, but hey, sat night in LBI, what did we expect? ‍♀️ Seems to be BYOB, and they sell bottles of wine. Had the Lobster Bisque, (OMG GET IT. May very well be the best I’ve had, and I order it everywhere…) (DIP THE HOT ROLLS, YOOOOO!!) He got mussels (huge healthy portion, said they were great, I dont eat them, lol!) and we shared a 6pc shrimp cocktail (coulda been bigger for price, but were def fresh and clean and tasty!), cocktail sauce was kinda weak, (not the selfmade stuff us real seafood lovers make!). Lastly surf and turf with (you guessed it!) their FAMOUS FRENCH FRIED LOBSTER!! ABSOLUTELY BALLER. BUY IT. Steak was nice size cooked to order and only very barely seasoned, as a true cut of prime filet ought be. Well done!! 9.8 outta 10, (until you add tomatoes to my house salad!!) Btdubs, advise making a reservation, walked rt in on time and seated immediately!! ❤️ from Philly!!

Delicious food and awesome service. We had made reservations and were quickly seated. The waitress was extremely friendly and patient with us. The lobster bisque was amazing and everyone enjoyed their meal. I had ordered the special for the night. Seared ahi tuna with seaweed salad. It was delicious and well seasoned. Seared perfectly. Also don’t forget to add the French fried lobster to your meal.

For starters, the food was excellent! We had the pecan crusted flounder, and it was moist and flaky and not overcooked. The others in our group of 10 were also very satisfied with their entree choices. Also, all the appetizers and side dishes were very good. The service was prompt and attentive. The only minor problem was that the noise level was very loud. Understanding we were in an area where there also were several other large groups, the low ceiling trapped the sound. Perhaps some type of sound suppression on the ceiling would help. It also was very warm in the corner area, which I noticed when I went to use the restrooms and noticed it was quite a bit cooler within the main area of that room. Some adjustments in the ventilation systems would likely help. Overall, I would highly recommend Howards.

Our server acted like she didn’t want to be there. There’s no real bar. Just local wine, which was pretty awful. You’re allowed to byob, which I absolutely suggest if you have to eat there. My scallops were overcooked and pretty tasteless. Thank goodness for salt on the table. I’m amazed the place has been around so long. We won’t be back.

Howard’s is a higher class restaurant in the area, and otherwise has a slightly higher standard expectation of dress than the other local seafood restaurants. The food is solid but there are some items that are on the blander side. The brownie dessert (especially the ice cream) is very rich and very good. They also had kid items like mini cheese pizzas and fries. The servers were very attentive, and we came as a wedding party. The food did not seem to suffer from the large group we had.

Classic Jersey shore seafood spot with lots of options. Really enjoyed my surf and turf which consisted of a small filet and three lobster tails along with a baked potato and side salad. Great for kids lots of space and nice area outside to talk them for walks on the bay.

Not the best dining experience; we felt very rushed throughout the dinner by the waitress. No mention of only wine being offered or only certain credit cards used. Had the fried lobster and we both felt unwell as the night went on. Won’t be making a return trip!

We were hoping to enjoy a very nice dinner out for our last night here but we’re very disappointed with the whole experience. The food was OK, but very overpriced. The restaurant seems more concerned with turning over tables than creating a pleasant dining experience.
