The food was okay but the staff was tired and unhappy. Atmosphere was stuffy and oppressive and I felt like I was in a New Jersey dive bar beneath a railroad. Doesn’t help that I was openly mocked by another customer for my appearance but I don’t blame the staff or owner for that – but if that’s the type that frequents this place it’s no safe haven of mine.

Stopped in because of recommendations from Friends. Had a good old-fashioned Diner hamburger and kettle chips. The staff are very friendly and make for a enjoyable meal. We’ll be coming back.

We came to this cozy restaurant bar at about 1115 on a Saturday. Because of this, I expected it to be busy and we expected to have some slow service. We didn’t expect it to take 55 minutes from the time our order was taken until we received it. in that time we didn’t get any napkins or silverware and coffee refills were sparse. When we finally received our food, it was not good. It reminded me of something that would be cooked in a school, cafeteria, or a military chow hall. The staff was friendly, but not overly helpful. The bartender was great and very speedy. I will come back and go to the bar, but we will never come back to the restaurant.

The food was really great, but you wouldn’t know it by looking at the place. Per the recommendations of other reviewers I had the irish benny and lived up to the hype. Certainly worth the stop.
