Best real bbq in Kona and certainly worth the quick drive to Holualoa. Brisket was super tender and juicy with a beautiful smoke ring. Hot links were flavorful without being too overpowering to be enjoyed with mustard sauce and slaw. The french fries are also crisp and crunchy. Even though it’s a bbq spot, they seem to take even the salad seriously with fresh ingredients and unique dressings. It’s solid bbq with a little island twists with the sides / other dishes. Great combination. Definitely will be coming back for more.

The food is AMAZING. I got the burger snd my husband got the mixed platter. Everything was delicious and the sides were a perfect balance to all the meat. We came here by chance and it was the best decision we made all day. If they weren’t forced to close (so sad) we would be here every week until we leave.

Came to Hawaii for 8 days or so, had to wait until our last day to eventually taste this place. This was such well made bbq. From the taste to the Smokey aroma the minute you park, this is so good! Check them out if you’re in town for a bit.

We drove by this place and decided to stop, and we are very glad we did – we absolutely loved it! The food was delicious; we went with the platter with multiple types of meat and it was the perfect amount of food for 2 hungry adults :). Strongly recommended!!

Stopped in after a long day of exploring and were very pleased with the amazing food and great service! I had the brisket sandwich and fries which was amazing. Best brisket I have ever had! We also had vegetarians in our party who loved the salads and sides. We absolutely recommend this gem of a spot and will be adding this to our list of favorites. As a plus it is situated in a quaint little town with cool shops and galleries.

So I have eaten here plenty of times and I got to say I have no complaints with the meat at all. Make sure that you grab the sauces especially the coffee one It is absolutely excellent. You may want to put a dash of it in your beans It really adds a little flavor to it. I usually am pretty good about photos but unfortunately I didn’t take any. The guys are super nice and friendly and if you don’t want to wait make sure you call in your order. They definitely take care of you.

I’ve had my fair share of ribs across the country, and this is probably one of the best I’ve ever had. I got a full rack of wet ribs and it was worth every penny. The BBQ sauce was exploding with flavor, the ribs were exceptionally tender, juicy and was smoked to perfection. Ribs would never be the same for me now, the bar has been raised very high. 100/100 recommend!

Amazing brisket! The best I’ve ever had. You have to get there early (before 4:00 p.m.) if you want brisket, ribs, or pulled pork because they run out fast. Don’t be afraid to try their sandwiches. Their hamburger patties are delicious! And if you’re lucky enough to get the Ruben on special, the rye bread from Sundog Bakery makes these sandwiches top notch.

Best experience ever. Had a crazy day and family to feed with no idea what to cook and no time for shopping. Saw the sign next to the post office in Holualoa and decided to give them a try. Came home with brisket and pull pork to give them both a try, made the whole family very happy and we will be back for more very soon. Lovely experience, delicious food the best recipe for a busy mom. Thank you for offering such a delicious option.
