I was in the mood for a ‘diner’ type lunch and got exactly what I was looking for…chicken salad club with fried okra. The chicken salad was tasty and the okra was fried just right. If you are in the mood for a quick lunch without any frills I would recommend The Hub.

My hubs and I wanted to sit and have coffee for a little while before ordering. The owner of the place was standing at the register staring at us the whole time and kept sending the waitress over to ask us to order, even though we had told her several times that we’d let her know when we were ready. We ended up just having the coffee and leaving after only one cup. It was very uncomfortable. And the coffee – really not that good.

I just wanted to come and have coffee before I had breakfast. I got the feeling I was doing something wrong. The waitress and the people behind the counter kept staring at me giving me the stink eye. I ordered my breakfast after a cup of coffee. For what you get it is definitely not worth the price. I will not be coming back.

First time here it was wonderful. Reminded me of restaurants where I grew up, a real family atmosphere. Great food, great prices. I got the popcorn shrimp, Lima beans and fried apples, my husband got an omelette as big as the plate. It’s on our list of places to eat.
