My husband and I went here this evening. Our waitress was Jackque. She was great. She checked on us numerous times and made sure our coffee was kept full and hot – the food was great as well. She was constantly checking on us to see if we needed anything. She is an excellent waitress and a very pleasant one as well.

My husband and I went to huddle house on Saturday. We had been there a few other times and didn’t have a great experience, but this past Saturday I have to say the waitress was great (Becky). The food was great and loved the way staff greeted customers. Keep up the great work y’all

Food was decent took 12 minutes to get menus with 3 servers working and not busy at all. Besides myself and my wife, there were only 2 other couples in the restaurant. Service was terrible!! The employees don’t care about the customers unless they know you personally. Sat with an empty tea glass until I decided to leave the restaurant. Would NOT recommend anyone to eat there unless you want to wait 28 minutes from the time you sit down to order. The cooks AND servers are absolutely slow as molasses. I could understand if they were swamped. There’s no excuse for the terrible service we received. Servers wonder why they aren’t tipped much….well maybe you should actually work for your tip instead of expecting things to be given to you! Will definitely go to the Huddle House in Hazlehurst from now on. At least they have excellent service and move faster than those in Baxley.

Came in for dinner with my family and two nieces (2 and 3). They wanted some KFC fries so we stopped and got them some before coming in. Evening was alright and was enjoying our food when the person in charge this evening made a point to tell us that no outside food is allowed. They were concerned about a $5 box of fries for the kids when we were spending almost 20 times that amount in the dinner. We ended up hiding the bag under the table to appease management. I understand there probably is policy but it could have been handled better by management.

This morning I ordered scattered hash browns minus the peppers. My waitress informed me that the cook ( Elisha) would not alter the hash browns. I required why? Elisha said it’s a corporate decision. The only thing that could be changed was they could leave out the cheese. I told her that I’ve ordered this on numerous occasions and this was the first time I was told this. The menu does not say I couldn’t order something and leave an item out. I asked to speak with her manager and she called Kelly on her phone and she told me the same thing. I told her I didn’t want the order. Then she brings the order to the table saying I fixed it the way you ordered regardless of what my manager said. Why did it get this far out of hand? I wasn’t asking for extra bacon or eggs. I was actually saving them money by not asking for peppers. I frequent this restaurant 2 or 3 times a week. The servers are always friendly and helpful. But I’m going to reconsider going back. Maybe the upper management needs to better train their local managers. They really seem to dwell on drama.
