The service was great, the chef was amazing friendly, and the atmosphere was great. The food was good. However, I got the blackened snapper with shrimp, while amazing, it was super salty. Other than that this place is great and we will definitely be back for more.

We ate inside as it looked like it might rain, but the outdoor patio seating is very nice and right by the canal. The food was made to order and was very good. We got fish & chips (menu price) and a snow crab special for $29. Beer and wine served. Very friendly staff…will definitely return!

One of the worst places I have eaten in Florida. Crab Mac and Cheese was tasteless, watery and the crab meat if thsts what it was, looked like they opened a cheap can of crab meat and put a few forkful’s on top. I normally do not give a place a sub par review but this place is a dud. The owner upon me telling the waitress the food was not edible did not even come over to see if he could rectify the problem. Instead they sent out a plate of fish and chips which I did not order that was also sub par. The oul the fish was fried in had a stale smell that was imparted to the fish. Their Frutta di Mare plate was overcooked pasta with a few small mussels and clams on the side. It was a sorry excuse for that dish. Again, I am a very easy customer to please and try to give a place the benefit of the doubt. However from the dishes my party ordered I can not in good faith recommend this place which saddens me because we love finding new eateries and sampling their offerings. I have nobidea if this place changed hands recently because other reviewers gave it good ratings. Either they are. Correct and I am not or something happened to the quality of the food. The atmosphere could slso use a makeover. The place looks like someone painted an abandoned building painted over it and opened a restaurant. It was also understaffed. The poor waitress was beside herself trying to cover all the tables but she was the best part of the entire experience. Sorry to have to put a review like this out there but I can not in good faith recommend this place to eat.

Wanted some good seafood and saw them on Google. Was pleasantly surprised. My lobster roll was great and the salad. My husband had chicken parmesan. It was fantastic!! Can’t wait to try the grouper, and stuffed flounder. The owner and staff were great.

I am from Fairfax VA originally and moved to Port Richey. Came here with my parents when they came for a visit. This place is a hidden GEM!!! We came back 3 times for their 6 day visit. Every time the food was amazing. The crab cakes are cooked to perfection. People put too much filler. NOT these. Just crab meat deliciousness. The mussels and the sauce are to die for. True Chesapeake steamed crabs. I could go on and on!!! The staff and owner are kind and friendly. I love this place!

The food was good. Our server Jamine was good. Her counterpart Renee was loud and extremely rude. This was our second attempt at this establishment, and we will not return. Our salads came after our meals, so just wanted it to be taken off bill due to it coming out after our hot food was out. Renee was very rude and continued to be rude even after we were leaving. The owner just sat there and allowed this behavior instead of addressing it. This says a lot about the mentality of their customer service. Jasmine should take her talents to a place where she could make money and be successful. It is a shame because the food was good.

If I could give more “stars” I would. This place was phenomenal!!! We ordered the seafood meal for two. Octopus as the appetizer! Totally amazing! Excellent service, attention to detail, spot on! Congenial staff! We will be back!!! Thank you Crab House for an absolutely lovely experience!
