I ordered the Hugh’s burger, I asked for it to be well-done but it was burnt and bitter so I was pretty disappointed. My sister got the BBQ salmon with rice, which she said was pretty good. Waited about 30 minutes for food, seemed a bit understaffed but good service, music is loud, if I return I would get something else on the menu.

A rustic local Irish pub in Malden with authentic oldish interior design. Was built in 2002, and celebrates this year 20 year anniversary. The food is good, the drinks too.

Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. Great variety of beers and whiskey for those who prefer something stronger. The Shepherd’s Pie was hearty and very filling. My friend could not stop raving about the quality of the burger. Parking is available on the street, and there is also a large parking garage nearby.

Food is exceptional, from appetizers to entrees: hard to choose which ones to recommend, but I would start with the Irish stew made with Guiness which is awesome! The Messy Fries, nachos, chicken wings, all of them are much better than they usually are in bars. Drinks are very good too, try Irish eyes with a smile cocktail for example.

The truffle poutine side was amazing! It had a strong truffle flavor and TONS of stretchy cheese. Absolutely loved the cheese! We also had a hot toddy which was perfect for the cold weather

Hugh O’Neill’s is a very cozy Irish pub. The interior is amazing and makes you feel at home. The service was friendly but it took a long time to get drinks and food. They have a good beer menu and the food menu is pretty good as well. We went when they had live music and it was so loud we couldn’t really talk at the table. But the live music was very good, classic Irish music. Overall a good experience, I will be coming back but not during live music.

Stopped here to grab a drink and watch the world cup. Great selection of beer, beautiful bar, awesome staff, and great atmosphere. One of my favorite pubs in Malden, Everett, Medford, etc., by far!

Stopped by for lunch while waiting for our bodaborg reservation across the street. Food was decent but nothing amazing. It was pretty empty and the staff seemed a bit distant, seems like more of a dinner place. I would find somewhere else to eat for lunch.
