I’ve been here 4 different times and each has left me so grateful that Humming Bird is in Newport! I’ve had breakfast, oxtails, salmon and chicken caesar The food here is just so darn good. Fresh and so filled with flavour. I hope absolutely NOTHING changes about this place because anytime I visit I will make sure the get my business. The staff was very welcoming and many blessings to the chef as they know how to keep you coming back. Food is definitely made with love!

My wife and I had lunch, I had a 5 spices fried chicken sandwich that was excellent. My wife had the jerk chicken, looked really good also. Service was perfect. Also I loved the music, I would recommend the Hummingbird.

Exceptional quality food and unobtrusive service. The chef puts out amazing and very flavorful plates, whether it’s jerk chicken, jerk shrimp, ox tail or curry goat among other dishes. The rice and peas are on point, the cabbage salad a great complement, and the hot pepper sauce beautifully hot with its scotch bonnet loveliness; not the mild swill offered at many non-Caribbean restaurants that I could drink to get any flavor.

We had a wonderful breakfast at Humming Bird. The food was delicious and the staff were just wonderful. They were warm, friendly and so accommodating. The coffee was great too! They even had decaf for me which can be hard to find sometimes. I would 1000% recommend this place for breakfast. We’re looking forward to going back to try the Jamaican food!
