I was dying to try Hunan Beijing and it didn’t disappoint whatsoever!!! Hot, fresh, flavorful food! The owners were very welcoming and personable—I left with a smile. No wonder this establishment has been this successful since 1985. I left with the lunch special, which you also can’t beat at $7.50! Fried rice, an entree, egg roll, and soft drink (soup if you sit-in) made for a sizable, filling portion. It’s the best when you have high expectations of a restaurant, and they are met. Do visit Hunan Beijing, and you won’t be disappointed. I’ve found my new favorite Chinese restaurant in the Northwest suburbs.

I am rating this very high due to the amazing customer service. Betty, my server, was an absolute joy. She was polite, had a contagious smile, and her bubby personality lit up the restuarant. I had gotten the Kung Pao Tofu and it was spicy and delicious!! Their menu is full of other classic Chinese-American dishes. Their lunch special was a great price as well.

I am so disgusted by the service I experienced here. Walked in with my two little girls to initially order a take away. After paying, my kids decided they wanted to sit and eat in the restaurant. I was told I couldn’t because they have a different menu for take away and sit in. I had ordered large shrimp rice, only to get home and find no shrimp in the rice. The rice was dry with a funny disgusting smell. I called them to complain and the old man that answers the phone couldn’t speak fluent English. What I could pick up from going back and forth was that, they couldn’t have made the mistake and that I’m lying!!!!!! The nerve!!!! Disgusting place! Don’t go there!!!!

Wow, I am so disappointed! I used to dine here a few years ago and enjoyed it very much. This time, I was worried when I walked in to pick up my order because there was a strong smell of old grease. We ordered five dishes, and every one is the same color: brown. Hardly a hint of a vegetable, including the vegetable dish. And it all tastes off – my dining partner says “like the middle of a highway”. So sad!

I have had takeout from this restaurant twice and decided to try dine-in. Betty made my visit amazing! She is super friendly and really makes you feel at home. She knows the menu well and can help you with accommodations if you have an allergy, like my boyfriend and I. My food was amazing, but the service I received from Betty was the best by far. This family owned businesses goes above and beyond with service. From the first phone call or entry into the restaurant you can feel their commitment to customer service. I am a gluten free customer and I was amazed that they are able to make 90% of their menu gluten free! Our large to go order was done in 20 minutes and there were no mistakes! The food tasted amazing that evening as well as reheated the following day for lunch!
