Tried to place an order for a company lunch and couldn’t get through to anyone. Tried both numbers on the website and ordering sites. I called around 11:30, plenty of time from the time they open, about 10 times to place an order to be ready before 12. Couldn’t get through or leave a VM, I tried messaging on FB and via email. No response to this day, this was last Thursday. I remember the food being decent but if you can’t place an order whats the point?

I visited Hunan recently and had my dinner there. The food was great, especially the Sichuan cuisine in the new menu. I have to say this is one of the best Sichuan food I’ve had in the US! What a nice surprise to have found this in Baton Rouge.

I used to like this place but its nasty now. They mentioned a new chef cooking when I ordered. Shrimp fried rice not cooked enough, still alot of white rice mixed in & no taste. Kung pao chicken has a weird taste & smell. Not to mention I paid $22 for one meal. Not going back

My son took me there for Mother’s Day and we made it there about 11:45 am and the buffet was not freshly cooked egg rolls were old and soggy and chicken too hard to bite into. I was very disappointed. They use to be the fantastic.

Came inside and was sat immediately. No one else in the place. They have fans going like the air conditioning is going out. Food was COLD. And they have the audacity to try and charge extra if you don’t eat all of your food. First time in and last time. Don’t eat here. Find somewhere else, fast.

I have no idea what happened to what used to be an amazing restaurant. The Chinese restaurant downstairs and the sushi restaurant upstairs were my go to spot every weekend. But service and food have drastically declined. It’s almost sad to walk in and see all the awards and accolades from years ago knowing what it used to be and seeing what it’s become. The last few times I’ve done pickup orders weren’t the best. But this visit just solidified for me. Walking in to pick up an order and not one person seen for 10+ minutes. I will it be coming back!

Well, since Hunan’s and Jeffery Cheng has always gone hand in hand in being one of the best Chinese restaurants & owner here in Baton Rouge for years. Jeffery, who passed away in 2020, would be unbelieveably sadden if he could have seen and tasted what was served today at his $41.00+ buffet lunch for two. Hunan’s was always a once a week lunch trip for my son and I, plus most of my employees. The absolute best in Baton Rouge for the buffet’s freshness and moreso the quality of the food.
